On Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 1984 Democratic National Committee Chair Charles Manatt was interviewed about the creation and purpose of the Democratic "Super Delegates" in the C-SPAN studios in Washington, D.C.

3. Geraldine Ferraro talked about this on a Fox News panel yesterday and

it was a terribly rambling and hard-to-understand explanation once you got past the "They're there to protect the party" theme. Watching it helped me understand why, at times, the democratic party is its own worst enemy.
