Lt. Governor Lawton (Wi.) Supports Hillary Clinton& Her Health Care Plan
http://blogs.wispolitics.com/election/2008/02/lawton-says-clinton-obama-have.html

So why do we always hear about Doyle supporting Obama, & NOTHING about our Lt. Governor supporting Hillary Clinton?
Is it because she's a woman? For the record here folks, Doyle is a pretty conservative Democrat. He got my vote the last 2 elections, and has been a bit of a disappointment. For example, the teachers union (WEA) played a very important part in getting him elected in the last 2 elections, and tommy thompson's QEO is still here, and our wages and benefits have dropped since. He has done some very good things & made an effort, and has had a repug legislature (until 2006), but we teachers still are pretty much in the same postion as the tommy years.

1. Well, most likely because he's the Lt. Gov.

2. That's a She
And when she came out with that announcement last June at our Democratic State Convention a lot of us sort of gasped that she would endorse so early (although most of us realized she supported Hillary mainly just because she was another woman).

Our State Party Chairman also broke protocol and endorsed Edwards. It's a pretty strict deal that County Chairs are asked to be neutral and not endorse during the primaries and that's supposed to be even more the case for State Party Chairs.

Wisconsin's Democratic Party could use some lessons on how to wait a bit longer on these endorsements.

3. She Supported Wesley Clark In 2004
Maybe that played a part in her decision. Maybe not.

5. Maybe but also in 2004 there wasn't a real viable female Presidential candidate either
With all apologies to Carol Mosely-Braun.

4. I misunderstood the pronoun reference in the OP - not familiar withWI politics
Yeah, given their primary was so late, you'd think they would wait a little longer at least.
