Poll question: Which candidate will usher in a "Great Liberal Age?"
Any answer other than "Neither" will require explanation.

4. Obama shall by his might cleave mountains and fill gorges, and shall remake
the very firmament of the universe.

5. We've got a lot of work to do.
I do not think Obama is liberal enough (neither is Clinton), but I trust him more, and I believe he will have coattails and will bring in a LOT of new Democrats - both youngsters and people who have realized they have been wrong. If we can get a majority in both houses, we really do have an opportunity to create a liberal age. But that will be up to US... up to us to hold their feet to the fire... up to us to make ourselves heard. We will need to run more liberal candidates in the primaries against the office holders who do not vote the way we want. That is much trickier when things are close. But when we get that majority, it is then time to build on it and perfect it.

6. Obama is a centrist, but he has great potential to steer our nation on a new course
Hillary is just a DLC reactionary!

7. Obama might, by light of his ability to inspire, despite his generally
centrist positions - after all, JFK was also a fairly conservative dem.

No guarantee, though.

8. So far no explainations in this thread.
Just "rah rah, my candidate is swell."

John McCain might make a difference too.

9. If such a thing were possible, Obama will do it.
The man's a solid progressive with broad appeal and a surefire mandate. He's Al Gore with charisma.

You can't realistically hope for a better candidate.
