5. We've got a lot of work to do.

I do not think Obama is liberal enough (neither is Clinton), but I trust him more, and I believe he will have coattails and will bring in a LOT of new Democrats - both youngsters and people who have realized they have been wrong. If we can get a majority in both houses, we really do have an opportunity to create a liberal age. But that will be up to US... up to us to hold their feet to the fire... up to us to make ourselves heard. We will need to run more liberal candidates in the primaries against the office holders who do not vote the way we want. That is much trickier when things are close. But when we get that majority, it is then time to build on it and perfect it.

The man's a solid progressive with broad appeal and a surefire mandate. He's Al Gore with charisma.

You can't realistically hope for a better candidate.
