Obama is a plagiarist is right from Karl Rove's playbook.
Funny, through the use of the 24 hour news cable networks, the web, blogs, and calls to talk radio
the totally spurious charge that Barack Obama is a plagiarist is now out there.

This kind of crap is 100% from the Karl Rove playbook .... facts do not matter as long as the charge
gets "outs there" and does it's damage. Again what is Karl's rule # 1 for attack? Hit the other person's
strength i.e. Al Gore is smart .... spread the rumor that he said, "I invented the internet." John Kerry
was a real war hero, 1 Silver Star, 1 Bronze Star, 3 Purple Hearts, and he didn't lose a man in his
unit .... matter of fact Kerry got wounded saving one of his men from sure death. So Rove brought
out the "Swift-boats for truth" using Creative Response Concepts, Fox, Drudge, talk radio, and others
to lie about a real hero, John Kerry.

So it follows .... What is Barack Obama's strong suit? Public speaking. What would Rove
do facing Obama? ..... "Well you do know he is plagiarist don't you?" So can you really trust him? ... I
mean is he honest? Sure he is good speaker but is he stealing other people's ideas?

This kind of stuff is expected from the republicans but from a person who wants to be the
Democratic nominee for President?

1. TPM has posted some comments- this questions Obama's "Authenticity" like public funding
issue tries to.

Sounds about right.

And it doesn't matter if it's essentially Clinton saying "I'm bad but he's worse".

She wants to frame him a certain way.

3. Agree. Lies are encouraged, the more outrageous the better.
All that matters is that the untruth gets picked up and reported because we all know our so-called jornalists don't fact-check before they report.

Attack your enemy's strength, viciously, with lies upon lies.

It's really sad Hillary's camp has resorted to such tactics. I expect it will get worse as the nomination slips further and further from her.

I'm thrilled to see this tactic used against a fellow Democrat.

8. No, this is from the Dukakis playbook
If someone who the msm didn't prop up said this, like Biden in 88', that candidate would be done.

If you want to see the Rove play book look at what Obama did to Edwards in Iowa.

18. Hillary's slash and burn tactics come at a cost
I could NEVER vote for her or a member of her family ever again.

You know for years I could never understand why the Clintons inspired such hatred. After all his policies were moderate, the Country did very well during his presidency. So why was there such venom and hate directed at them? Well I guess I am guilty of looking the other way. Consciously or unconsciously I didn't pick up the fact that they were employing the same tactics (be it less refined and not as dishonest) as Karl Rove. I was able to clearly see those refined tactics in Rove. It was something that angered me beyond belief. I felt those tactics were dishonest, unethical and immoral. I honestly felt those tactics hurt the Country and I have publicly stated as much.
Wouldn't I be a major league hyporcrite if I suddenly changed my views on these tactics? How can I have spent years saying how bad these tactics were, and then suddenly turn around and say they are OK because a Democrat is using them? The Clintons and her supporters are acting exactly as Bush and his supporters acted. There is no difference other than the R is now a D. I didn't engage in politics for personal gain or a lust for power. I wanted the Country to be better. I wanted it freed from the right wingers and the way they did things. While there is little doubt Hillary will be more liberal than George Bush, I see little reason she will be any more honest or ethical. These traits matter to me, maybe I am an idealist, but I have to think that my voice matters. It matters enough that I have to send a message to the candidates and their supporters that politics, as usual, is no longer acceptable. It's perhaps the biggest reason I am supporting Obama. He is has Carter's ethics and honesty combined with Reagan's leadership and charisma (even if he led the Country in the wrong direct, there is no arguing his ability to lead). He is what I want in a president.

19. He Fucked Up. It's That Simple. Some Need To Have The Courage To Admit It.
It isn't the end of the world. It really isn't. But he did fuck up here, and he is getting called out on it. It's known to happen during campaigns from time to time, so let's hope he can handle it appropriately.

The whole Rove thing is just stupid. Obama made a judgment of error and is having to deal with it. That's the way it goes, and it has not a thing to do with Rove.

Thank you, OPERATIONMINDCRIME, for saying that. Because on this issue we completely agree. He did indeed plagiarize the speech, though it's ridiculous that people are focusing on this issue when Ms. Clinton can't even admit her role in the Iraq war.

Now let's see if we can get you, OPERATIONMINDCRIME, to finally admit that Hillary Clinton also "fucked up", to use your own words.
