Be Still My Heart, Hillary...she's giving a bang up Enviro Speech /C-Span...

Be Still My Heart, Hillary...she's giving a bang up Enviro Speech /C-Span...

Small Business on the Internet....like E-Bay...emphasis..to Global Marketplace....She want's farming to be close to local...when she buys an apple in New York State..she wants to know it's not grown in China...Greenhouses in states with Short Growing Season...Methane from Dairy Farms to help our Carbon Usage Problem...and Wind, Solar, Retrofitting our Aging Buildings with energy efficient windows and insulation to save money...Re-building our Infrastructure which is crumbling..."so you don't have to hold your breath when driving over a bridge for fear it will collapse!"

Give Medicare the right to negotiate for Low Drug Prices. Cut out "subsidies that Bush gave to HMO's which is a waste...and put that into a National Health System. She says "Sick People are being Discriminated Against....because they are thrown off their insurance plans.

She says...Get rid of the Oil and Gas subsidies because the companies had them when they "needed them...but they DON'T NEED THEM ANYMORE... and Take that Money and put it into Renewable Engergies that will save our country from Imported Oil Dependency."

She wants "low interest College Loans for Students that they can work off if they do Community Service for a few years like Teaching...Health Care.

She wants to provide DENTAL CARE along with HEALTH CARE! She's proposing the Congressional Plan and limit on the Premium you have to pay for Health Care. She's saying it's "Private Health Insurance Options" and REGULATE the Insurance Companies....

She says "We need to Reign in the Special Interests" and give the money back to the Middle Class. Grow Jobs for Clean Energy and Infrastructure Repair. Stop the EXPORTING OF JOBS...TAKE AWAY THE INCENTIVES for JOBS TO LEAVE! She's GOING to RAISE TAXES ON WALL STREET CEO'S.

Restore Confidence and Competence in our Government... She says HALLIBURTON and SPECIAL CONTRACTS HAVE REAPED BENEFITS ...but they WILL NOT ANYMORE in her ADMINISTRATION...

She wants to Restore our Moral Leadership in the World and she will start Immmediately to Repair this Damage that Bush and Cheney have done and the World will breathe a sigh of relief when Bush/Cheney leave."

She says she wants to withdraw troops starting within 60 days...but she wants to do it carefully....but she will immediately start a plan. Iraqi Government has to take responsibility. "When we get the troops home...let's make sure we take Care of their Health needs."

She says "FORCE SHOULD BE USED AS A LAST RESORT .....NOT...A FIRST RESORT.....

Alot of work needs to be done...she says "We haven't been called to do anything...George Bush didn't ask us to do anything." "Americans want to feel PRIDE again." "We need to think about the Next Generation." "Hire Me for this Hard Job..."
------------

MY COMMENT ON THIS:

It's a VERY IMPRESSIVE SPEECH!......Even though I know ...it's a bit of Edwards, bit of Obama, bit of Bill and a bit of maybe what Hillary really believes. And, because she is hoarse her voice isn't as harsh and flat as it usually sounds. She gave a speech like this in New Hampshire in a Forum that was very good... BUT...I don't know if I can trust her ...anymore than I can Obama.

1. Funny, she didn't think those were imperatives in 2004 when Kerry said them.
She and her team thought Americans should wait another 4 years before those things were done.

3. Funny you say that with your Obama...stuff. That's what worries me
I don't think his speeches about "Hope and Change" mean anything more than Clintons. Neither were the candidate I wanted. I'm posting because she gave a very impressive...closer to Populist Speech than I've ever heard her give. I'm a Populist Democrat. I'm still listening to both of them to find one I can support...since Gore and Kucinich are out of the race.

I still try to have an "open mind." I wish other DU'ers would keep their minds open, too.

6. I love Kucinich
but I do disagree with your statement about hope and change. Clinton claims to have all of this experience but she's my senator and she hasnt done anything for my state, Schumer smokes her. She promised universal health care years ago and we never got it.

I also am skeptical of her "populist message". I think Barack is worth about a million, the clintons are worth what 50 mil to 100 mil? Who is closer financially to understand that populist message.

The one thing I do know is Hillary hasnt been able to get much done. I want to give someone a chance that might be able to get something done.

What I also know is I want to have hope, I want to believe this country can be so much better than it is now. All Clinton has offered in that category is to berate Barack claiming he offers "False hope", she hasnt offered me any hope.

Sorry, I feel you on Kucinich and Gore but I feel Obama will be leaps and bounds better than Hillary.

HRC and her supporters can't have it both ways.

When he gives a bang up speech and goes on to win primaries and caucuses, they say he's all hot air and cheap words. Yet when she gives a good speech, she's brillaint?!

Hmmm: double standards and hypocrisy.

11. Yeah - where has she been for all these years? Protecting BushInc for decades LED
to the worst environmental stewardship of Bush2.

Clintons REALLY want to convince the GULLIBLE who haven't paid attention all these years that THEY are the answer.

Why screw over Gore to protect Jackson Stephens on WTI, Bill? You really didn't care that Gore, the people of Ohio and WV were hurt as long as you protected Stephens.

man? That's NOT going to happen. She has to protect Bill as much as she has to protect BushInc now.

SHE runs as the experience the TWO of them shared leading this country.

It's HER legacy, too.

Hillary comes from...because she was attached to Bill. I gotta believe there's "some stuff there." Maybe she WOULD DO SOMETHING... sadly the probability is that she won't.

But...she gave a good speech. I thought it was worth posting about...in the detail. And blm...I tried to do a good live blogging of what she said. I'm not some Hillary BOT...

I'f you've ever read anything by me...you know i'm "GORE/KUCINICH...maybe Edwards...and no one else.

Just so you know where I'm coming from. It was a good speech...she gave another one in New Hampshire way back.. I really wasn't a Clinton I supporter...but given what I've seen in my life...from Nixon on Down...I don't know what the hell to think about ANYTHING anymore.

You all excuse and excuse and excuse Clintons and their betrayals of ALL of us AND our last two nominees as they have protected BushInc and you try and throw a flashlight on some small issue to distract from the OVERALL BETRAYALS on the BIGGEST issues - betrayals that have gone on for decades at this point.

45. Boston Rally Feb 3, Obama was offstage when Kerry told crowd investigations WILL happen
and I doubt he would have made that statement if he hadn't run it by Obama first.

The Senate and congressional investigative lawmakers always needed a cooperative Dem president to access documents and declassify them - the stonewalling past presidents have hindered every investigation instead of facilitating them. I believe Kerry is trusting Obama will be the cooperative Dem president we always needed - and with senate and congress doing the investigating, he can still remain above that battle while pushing for domestic issues and solutions.

ALL a president has to do is COOPERATE....ACCESS the documents...and DECLASSIFY them for investigators.

day and night..day and night. Sure..they travel with "hairdressers and wardrobe assistants" these days...but still it's grueling. Eating those "chicken dinners" and sleeping in a different bed every night and the "on the road" rock star syndrome where they don't even get to "bed the groupies" for "ego relief."

I don't know how they all do it. It's not something I'd ever want to do...unless I thought my EGO..or THE ISSUES were SO IMPORTANT that it Pre-EMPTED...my WHOLE LIFE.

Maybe that's part of the problem we have these days with our candidates. Their ego and Mission is soooo OVERWHELMING they can't see past the "Forest for the Trees."

What I wrote was pretty nice, your response was pretty shitty as are many here who are trying to slander and insult. I suggested a pretty reasonable way to vote, a way to vote that is much truer to who you are than spouting off campaign slogans and promises.

So taking your cynicism and negativity into account perhaps you'd be better off voting for Hil, seems she might be more your speed.
