Wisconsin weather is playing havoc with the presidential race on this Sunday before the state's Feb. 19 Democratic and Republican primaries.
The Hillary Clinton campaign announced that Sunday's rally at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison will be postponed until Monday night.
The "Solutions for America Rally" will take place in the convention center's exhibition hall. The doors will open at 6:30 and the event will start at 8:30. See Clinton's website for more details.
The ice storm that hit Madison in the morning has been followed by flooding and it now being overtaken by snow and buses are canceled and city officials are advising residents to keep off the road -
……Obama is not scheduled to return until Monday evening for a rally in Beloit.

Hundreds of supporters continue to gather at the Labor Temple in Wausau for a campaign stop by presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton.
Among the crowd, estimated at about 400 people in the main hall, are a large number of blue-collar workers and voters over 40 years old, reflecting Clinton’s Democratic base.
In addition, a large number of women have brought their daughters to see Clinton, the first woman with a legitimate chance of winning the White House.
In addition to those awaiting Clinton’s arrival in the Labor Temple’s main hall are hundreds more supporters in a spill-over room and outside the building at 318 S. Third Ave.

Make Chelsea’s mom president

We all met Hillary Clinton at different times, in different places and at different stages in our lives, but our stories are remarkably similar. All of us were filled with nervous excitement at the prospect of meeting the first lady of Arkansas, the first lady of the United States or the senator from New York, and were mostly hoping not to embarrass ourselves. (Meeting your friend’s mom for the first time in the foyer of the White House was an overwhelming experience for a bunch of awkward 13-year-olds!) Despite our nerves and the unique settings in which our first meetings took place, Hillary put us at ease within minutes. We were greeted with hugs, exclamations of how much she had heard about us from Chelsea and invitations to stay for dinner, to spend the night, to join the Clintons for a movie or a game of cards. In those first moments of our relationship with Hillary, all of her public titles and tremendous accomplishments faded and in our eyes she became, first and foremost, Chelsea’s mom.

Growing up with Hillary in our lives taught us the value and necessity of public service and the power of government to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Because of what she has fought for and accomplished at home and around the world, we have grown up believing that we too could set bold goals and survive personal storms. The broken glass around her feet from the countless ceilings she has shattered has inspired us to believe that we can succeed at home and in the workplace. She has inspired us to believe that we will have the chance to cast our votes for the first woman president.
Over the past many months, we have had the great privilege of volunteering for Hillary’s campaign, and have witnessed the thousands of Americans waiting in rope lines and large crowds to thank her for making a meaningful difference in their lives. Soldiers and veterans thank her for providing them with the body armor and health care they deserve. Single mothers thank her for working to create the Children’s Health Insurance Plan. Young and old women alike thank her for going to Beijing to declare that women’s rights are human rights, and for tirelessly fighting on behalf of women and children. Students thank her for proposing the most comprehensive, innovative and achievable plan to make college affordable for all Americans.
We have no doubt that as president, Hillary will continue to make a dramatic difference in the lives of others. Helping people through inspiration and perspiration has been the story of her life. We have seen this firsthand and we have seen it up close. As young women who care deeply about our country and our collective future, we know that she is our brightest hope. And so with full hearts and great excitement, we urge you to join with us in supporting Hillary Clinton for president. She is the person and the president our country needs.
This letter was jointly written by Jennifer Lee, Ellen Cornelius, Elsa Collins, Martha Brantley and several other dear friends of Chelsea Clinton from high school, college and graduate school.

She is invigorating to the crowd, telling them exactly what ideas she has for bringing new jobs there, exactly how.
She is positive, uplifting and gives you a feeling that she will GET IT DONE, that she understands what we need, and she cares.
She isn't telling people that their jobs aren't coming back, like McCain. She's telling people the new jobs she will bring.
And I believe her.
Obama does not speak like this.
I'd rather have real answers, and I prefer her down to earth, personal way of speaking with people rather than a lofty speech anyday.

Hillary Clinton's packing in four events today, stopping at St. Norbert College in De Pere, near Green Bay; at the Wausau Labor Temple in Wausau; then in Eau Claire, in the northwestern part of Wisconsin; and finally in Madison, the state capital. Some 1,200 showed up here at De Pere, the campaign said, though Clinton's staffers had to organize the crowd to make the space appear more packed. "Hey, folks, there are at least 15 more seats here on the side, if you want to move from the back," a staffer told the crowd.
Escorted by Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton -- the first woman to hold that job -- Clinton talked about her economic policies. Earlier in the day, aides passed around a 12-page glossy brochure entitled "Hillary Clinton's Economic Blueprint for the 21st Century." It's detailed and heavily-bulleted, with plans such as "creating at least 5 million new green collar jobs by transitioning from a carbon-based economy to a green energy-efficient economy" and "ending tax breaks for companies that shop jobs overseas and investing those resources in the innovative potential of our own economy."
Clinton's been striking economic populist tones in stops in Texas and Ohio, but the campaign was such in a rush to release the brochure that typos were inevitable. On the second page, the brochure read: "Oil prices recently hit $100 a barrel, and consumers are feeling the increased cost at the pump and in their energy bills. Gas is over $3.00 a barrel... " They meant to say $3.00 a gallon, and corrected the mistake when they e-mailed the brochure to reporters later.
"The middle class is the backbone of America," Clinton said in her speech. "It's time to take care of the middle class again."

The Democratic presidential hopeful spoke to voters Monday morning at a town hall-style meeting on the campus of St. Norbert College.
She answered questions about the struggling economy, and said it's time to take care of the middle class.

In the upcoming Democratic presidential primary, Wisconsin voters are blessed with two candidates who are smart, energetic and forward-looking. Nonetheless, the state's residents have to decide who will be the most qualified starting on the first day in the Oval Office. My choice is Hillary Clinton.
I have had the good fortune to observe Clinton's career while living in New York. Up close, she is an unusually tough and savvy as well as charming political figure. While not as visible as Mayor Rudy Giuliani on 9/11, she showed great mastery in the difficult days after the attacks in helping to bring about the physical and emotional recovery of New York City and gaining federal assistance for ground zero workers exposed to toxic air.
As important, in her eight years in the Senate, she has compiled a strong liberal voting record in the tradition of Wisconsin's great Sens. Bob La Follette and Gaylord Nelson. While she has known defeats (e.g., health care in 1994), she has turned her reversals into legislative prowess on Capitol Hill.
Her work on the Armed Services Committee and her fact-finding visits overseas belie the notion that she has limited foreign policy experience. Her vote for the congressional resolution on Iraq in 2002 was a vote for continued weapons inspection and diplomacy and in opposition to pre-emptive war, as she clearly stated in her Senate floor speech. Today she is trying to prevent the establishment of permanent U.S. bases in Iraq by requiring prior congressional approval for any such outposts.
Of extraordinary importance, she has taken the lead on the most important economic crisis to face our country in decades. She was among the first of the Democratic contenders to propose a bold economic recovery program designed to rescue the nation from recession. Over a month ago, Clinton advocated for $70 billion in emergency spending and a backup of a $40 billion tax rebate should economic conditions worsen. Hers is a direct attempt to help the most threatened people in America -- namely, lower-income families facing foreclosures of their mortgages, those in need of home heating aid, and people who require extended jobless benefits.
Her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, belatedly came out with his own plan, which seemingly lifts most of his ideas straight out of Clinton's proposal.
On a more specific level, Clinton's recommendations on helping Americans caught in the subprime mortgage mess are far-reaching. She has called for a moratorium on foreclosures, a freezing of interest rates, the use of federal subsidies to help homeowners keep up with payments and restructure loans, and augmented regulation of the financial industry.
Obama has come up with an alternative plan, which, by contrast, does none of these things but tinkers around the edges. He backs a bill against mortgage fraud, supports an average $500 tax credit for homeowners, and endorses additional funding for a limited class of homeowners. His is a tepid response to an enormous tragedy.
In many ways, Clinton is to the left of Obama. She has outlined a program of universal health insurance -- meaning that every person in America would be covered. By contrast, his plan is more restrictive and would leave millions of people uncovered.
Lastly, Clinton is a fighter for change. Obama, on the other hand, is a self-described conciliator. What Democrats want today, however, is a battler, not a mediator. They have suffered enough from the vicious blows of President Bush and the Republicans. What the party needs is a nominee who will take the contest directly to the opposition. Come the fall showdown, a candidacy of "friendly persuasion" is going to be Swift-boated into oblivion.
