Use Patrick's Words? Obama Says, 'Yes We Can'
Speaking with reporters on his campaign plane, Sen. Barack Obama took issue with the Clinton campaign's claim that he purloined words from his friend and supporter, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.

"The notion that using a line from one of my national campaign co-chairs...is somehow objectionable, somehow doesn't make sense," Obama said on his way to an election eve rally in Beloit, Wis.

Obama, who said Patrick himself had suggested that he use the lines about the power of words, found the Clinton campaign's tactics unsurprising.

It was Clinton staffers who alerted reporters that Obama used lines nearly identical to Patrick's 2006 phrasing.

"Every day starts off with a negative attack from the Clinton campaign," said Obama , who added that he does not know whether the plagiarism charge will gain traction.

He said to a small group of reporters, "I never know what you guys will end up doing with this stuff."

Obama, who used the mantra, "Yes, we can" in his winning 2004 Senate campaign and revived it this year, said the word-trade goes both ways.

In the 2006 Massachusetts gubernatorial race, Obama said, Patrick was known to repeat a few catchy words himself.

"Yes, we can!" is what Patrick said.

And he did.

9. Borrowed words
The spat over whether Obama plagiarised the words of Deval Patrick - the black Governor of Massachusetts - is almost too ludicrous to be serious. The idea that Obama is a phoney - that he simply copied this movement from others - is so plainly barmy as to make me wonder whether the Clinton people are deluded or desperate. The charge is also - I can reveal - old. BBC senior producer Adi Raval brings this to my attention - note the date!

They will have to do better than that. In Texas meanwhile is contained here.

12. By expanding the party and building a large enough majority to actually get things done
Unlike Hillary who is divisive and will shrink the party. Possibly damage it permanently if she uses Super delegates and broken rules to win.

According to hilaryland it's okay for the inevitable one to plagiarize but Obama better watch his step cause he's headed toward trouble with campaign financing in the General:crazy:
