2. I hate to break it to you,
but Republicans are also allowed to vote in the General Election. I don't see the problem here, assuming the stats are true.

But I find that disturbing that that large amount of his voters are Republicans.

18. I don't.
He has the potential to be the liberal version of Ronald Reagan. New voters are getting drawn into the party and Republicans who are sick of Bush/McCain as well. This could have a lasting positive impact on the democratic party.

26. They AREN'T. The pollsters asked EVERYONE who they liked better, not just those
planning to vote Democratic tomorrow. Registered Dems seem to prefer Obama over Hillary by a bit, but Repubs and Independents like Obama WAY more than Hillary.

Get it now?

4. The poll doesn't say that, genius.
It says that 66% of those who identify as Republicans prefer Obama to Clinton.

19. Thecatburgler is right! You're spreading misinformation!
All this poll tells us is that Barack is liked WAY better than registered Republicans AND Independents who were polled--nothing says they're going to vote Democratic tomorrow. And at any rate, Barack leads the Democrats who were polled too, so what's your point?

7. No, it doesn't say that
Among Republicans who plan on voting in the Democratic race, Obama has 66%. This number is from the 9% of respondents who said they are Republicans.

He also leads among Democrats and Independents.

But don't let the facts get in the way of spin.

12. Say what? Can't skew this one that way.
"He received support from well over 60% of those polled under the age of 45, and leads
with both white and female voters in addition to his core constituencies of males and
African Americans."

That's from what you cite. Your stats are ridiculous, and it hardly matters.

See you in 23 hours.

14. As noted elsewhere, you've misinterpreted the number
but, if it's any consolation (and it should be), Republican support for Obama would explain why he's beating McCain by 10 points in a head-to-head matchup in Wisconsin right now:

that 66% of Obama's Wisconsin fan base is Republican. Do you see where you made your fallacy?

but my standing policy is to never believe a republican. especially if they still own up to being a republican.

what they say, and what they do in a voting booth is two entirely different animals.

i'm just sayin' .....
