So I'm a second-class voter in the eyes of the Clinton campaign.
Edited on Mon Feb-18-08 10:06 PM by Drunken Irishman
I'm a Democrat in Utah, which means her campaign won't mind if I don't vote for her if she happens to win the nomination.

Since, you know, I'm one of those red state Democrats, whose vote doesn't really count.

I've always supported the idea of backing the eventual winner of this thing, but if I'm going to be told my voice and my opinion is less than those of people living in blue states, well fuck, maybe it is time I keep my options open.

5. Think about how we here in Texas feel!
Her campaign had the audacity to say this Before we've even voted! You know if Texas ever went blue or even purple again, it would be Because of the "red-state democrats"

13. What the hell is he talking about?
I always vote Democratic in the GE. What does he think, we only decide to show up to a caucus and then hid back in our hole?

What an idiotic statement.

19. Um, no. Not really.
I was rather enjoying my brief moment as a courted member of the Democratic party. He really didn't have to go and pee in my cheerios like that.

Way to rally your red state Democrats right before a vital primary/caucus. That's no doubt why he makes the big bucks. :eyes:

21. As usual,
it's all about her. Forget the many, many elected Democrats in red states who contribute to the Democratic majority in Congress. Yeah, they don't matter. I guess all of us red state Democrats should just stay at home on election day despite many of our elected Congress people running for office. How does Hillary expect to get ANYTHING done without a Democratic majority, made possible by red state Democrats?

Hmmm...maybe we'll never know...

34. Sorry, not acceptable.
We are one of the fastest growing states in the US. To simply discount our Democrats because we our currently out numbered would be a tactical error of epic proportions for our party.

We are finally beginning to make some (noticeable) headway at local levels here. I will not be denied the fruits of our hard work simply because we're not prime USDA 100% blue fillet.

Dammit, I'm a Democrat, warts and all!

What kind of an idiot would make a statement such as that? I'll work for half his pay and make stupid statements all day if that's what they're looking for.

37. As Dems in Utah, we're second-class voters to most everyone.
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 01:04 AM by Herdin_Cats
Sorry. That's just the way it is. I know it sucks. Our votes in the presidential general election don't count because all of this state's electoral votes will go to the Republican every time.

It would require Thomas S. Monson declaring some kind of revelation that Mormons are now supposed to voted for Democrats for the to change. And I think that would cause a bigger split in the church than the manifesto ending polygamy did.

And I have no doubt when he's the nominee he'll make a stop here to campaign.
