So the Clintons spent an hour with the media today...
Tonight on Larry King Live--KellyAnn Fitzpatrick, Ron Reagan Jr. and others were discussing today's
political highlights and one of these talking heads mentioned that the Clintons had a "one-hour
conference call with the media today."

During the conference call, the Hillary campaign attempted to leverage this "plagiarism" meme and
urge the media to cover it. The Hillary campaign stated their case--and begged for an hour--that the
media help the Clintons spotlight this Obama hit piece.

Does this strike anyone else as a sick travesty---the actions of a bunch of dour, rabid weasels who have
no respect for the independent nature of the media and the airwaves--which ultimately belong to the public?

I find it a grave injustice--that a political campaign gets an entire hour with the media--attempting
to prop up the idea of giving time and attention to attacks on their opponents.

This is a sick, sorry state of affairs in this country---when the media not only listens to this bullshit,
but kow tows to it. This plagiarism meme grew legs, because the media furthered it, and did many stories on
it--per the request of the Clinton camp.

Does the media ever get tired of the Clintons telling them what to say, who to attack and what daily
memes they would like to see on the airwaves?

The Clintons are treating the public airwaves like Bush did--as his little propaganda playground.

I didn't like it when Bush and Rove used the public airwaves to further their agenda, and I don't like it
that the Clintons are abusing the public airwaves and perpetuating the notion that they own the media and
that they can strong arm the media into furthering their agenda.

This really stinks. It's unAmerican. I'm sad to see yet another dysfunctional Bushism being passed down--and
willingly taken up by the Clintons--like abusive cycles that are handed to the next generation.

Obviously, during Hillary's "35 years of experience" she picked up a lot of bad habits.

9. I think the wording may be a little inflammatory -
The Hillary campaign stated their case--and begged for an hour--that the
media help the Clintons spotlight this Obama hit piece.

I can see the Clintons stating why they believe this is a valid charge, but I don't think they'd "beg for an hour" - they know it would leak and not reflect well on them.

Did they say who the "Hillary campaign" was? Hillary herself, or her people?

I think the entire issue is inane, and am surprised it's being covered so heavily in the media.

I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I just question if this is an accurate representation of what actually occurred.

10. It was an hour long conference call with the Hillary campaign and the media.....

whether they begged or not, certainly that is how the story got on the air.

This in qualities goes right behind Kindergarden paper search, IMO.

It is an attempt to make Obama seem less authentic...since Hillary cannot seem to elevate her own self on this quality.

17. I'm on the Obama side on this issue - NON issue.
I just feel uncomfortable when either side paints a picture that might be inaccurate. It's unfair to both campaigns.

Anyway, I understand and agree with you, and I'll just shut up now. :7

12. MSNBC, covered the story and it didn't show the Clintons in a favorable light
The three major shows Hardball, Countdown, Abrams, all explained how this was an overblown part on the Clintons and how Obama and Patrick agreed about them sharing their speeches.

Once again the Clintons using strong arm tactics.

this "plagiarism, it's such a joke!

It makes Hillary look kind of desparate, and I think she's better then that. I like to think this is just another retarded move by Mark Penn

20. Yes, I'm name calling...
...but I am describing the type of critter that imposes their will on the media,
and rabidly demands that they roll out their attacks as they demand.

My weasel comment doesn't negate the fact that the Clintons are using the media
as their propaganda headquarters.

Do the Clinton's ham-handed tactics upset you as much as my weasel comment...or not?

19. It strikes me as someone calling on the media to stop playing softball with Obama
and start covering his campaign objectively for a change. Plagiarism sunk Biden like a stone 20 years ago, yet the O-Bots demand that everyone pretend that their Emperor still has his clothes on.

Your fellow O-Bots have been regurgitating all over DU with the "OMG BUT BUT BUT CLINTON!" gibberish responses already. Your inability to handle simple facts is not my problem, though.
