Voted in WISCONSIN
Long time lurker here just stepping in to report on voting in WI :)

Long lines at 7:15 am (Polls open at 7). Lots of mix in the crowd. Lots of new voters (or Change of address, no way to know for certain).

negative 2 degrees with windchill -15!! Ouch, it's cold out there.

GO WISCONSIN! Go Obama!

4. Madison
Not downtown though--that's a whole different world with the UW folks. I'll be interested to see how that's going!

5. Thank you! How long did you wait in line? I have six family members who are voting early in Texas
this morning for Obama. They're going to see him speak tonight. I'm jealous. More nervous than jealous, though. I really think the outcome in Wisconsin will be more make or break than most people think.

10. I waited about 25 minutes
2 co-workers (Definite Dems but a possible Hillary supported in one of them--that's okay :) )

one in a suburb one on far east Madison--both said good turnouts at their locations as well. Everyone pretty pumped despite the awful roads and cold.

I hope everyone arrives to and from the polls safe and sound.

15. I just voted in Waukesha County
I was number 35 at my polling location at 7:00 a.m.

Before I voted, I weighed all the issues. Considered the candidates positions. And then I asked myself one important question:

Which candidate is batshit crazy?

HUCKABEE IN '08!!

Kidding. I had every intention of voting for Edwards (who I supported going back to this time last year) just as a little "screw you" to the MSM. But it appeared the race was tightening during the last few days, and the behavior of the Clinton camp recently has been so revolting, that I swallowed hard and voted for Obama.

Not that I don't think Obama is a good candidate. And not that I hold anything personally against Hillary -- I'm sure she's a better person than many of her supporters are (at least the ones around here). I went to a "candidate affiliation" online quiz, and Hillary and Obama tied in my results. So I don't think there's a dime's bit of difference between them when it comes to policy matters.

I just think Obama has a better chance of winning in November. And I want the primaries to get over soon.

21. Thanks Jeff.
I know that it's difficult to make that vote for your less than top choice. Hopefully the sound trouncing he gives McCain will eventually win you over (not to mention what he ends up doing in office).

44. Thanks for sacrificing your vote for Edwards to help Obama
If I could have voted in today's WA primary for Edwards (it's a zero delegate primary) i would have done it for you.

Thanks again from an Obama supporter.

27. Good to see
your report. :hi: Seems the Castro announcement, although obviously historically newsworthy (but perhaps anticlimactic as well given that for decades, this country's media has continually buried him, written his obituary, and then found he resurrected again), has essentially given the M$M reason to knock today's election off the focus of the main news cycle. I'm not watching TV talking windbags but have been scouring some of the internet news sites and it's like pulling teeth to get an answer to even basic stuff like "What time did the polls open?", etc. Thank goodness for DU!

30. Minus 10 here when I voted this morning at 7:30
But there were no lines at my rural town hall where I vote, so I went right from the truck to the voting booth and back. Still, they had already been pretty busy for being open only a half hour.

This is definitely looking good. I loves me some motivated voters!

45. I voted too
Light crowd, but I went at an off-time.

News reports show some pretty heavy turnout.

The ballot was one page, with all the main Democrats and Republicans listed. Could only vote for one person overall, of course.
