Now don't you think we have had enough of the republican party, there is no way in hell that Obama can win on and independent ticket. There has been many time in my more than 80 years that I didn't like the ticket like the last democrat ticket headed by Kerry, but I voted for Kerry and went on with life. Heck people there were lots of democrats that didn't want Jack Kennedy and even FDR, but we didn't act like children and take our toy's and go home...How childish the if I don't win I am going home to sulk.

1. "loses" not "looses"
I have heard the same from the Clinton camp.

12. Say's who you? someone that thinks Obama could win on ind ticket.
Hillary Clinton will stomp the junk out of the lazy McCain, who finished next to last in his class frp, the Naval Academy and education paid for by the tax dollars of all American, then bragged he wish he had been last in his class.. McCain is nothing but the same old same old republican party, and just as dumb as George W.Bush. On the other hand Hillary Clinton went to school on Academic Scholarships.. Bill went on sme Academic but a few musical scholarships. With out Hillary Clinton and her intelligence Bill Clinton would never have become President, I thinks that gives her as much experience as any one on either ticket for the last 50 years...FDR the only one I wuld consider with more experience in our government than Hillary Rodham Clinton...Baradk Hussin Obama experience pales compared to Hillary Clinton..

19. Key word being "fairly"
Now if she pulls a bunch of shenanigans with back room deals, playing loosely with the rules, then all bets are off...

3. What does your subject line actually mean?
By the way, the plural form of "lose" isn't "looses." It's spelled "loses."

9. DUbamas have said overwhelmingly that in DU polls for months.
It's a sad statement on just how much they are, or are not, Democrats.

13. polls are a sad statement- they are pretty much meaningless-
and needing to play petty name-games is a pretty good indicator that there is not much substance left to work with.

I'd say the issue addressed in the OP is pretty evenly distributed among both 'camps'.

peace~

18. That's simply not true.
most Obama supporters will vote for her. I will despite her rather dubious tactics. I'll even vote for her if she steals pledged delegates, something I think is repugnant. Her admiration and duplication of Rovian tactics might actually win the general if she get the nomination. You're using a broad and grotesquely inaccurate brush, for the sole purpose of demeaning Obama supporters.

10. unless you intended to respond to another post I'm confused as to
why you single out "Obama".

There have been people who have indicated that it is 'their' candidate, or nothing- (or a Republican, or 3rd party one) From both Hillary and Obama 'camps'.

I understand everything you say and can pretty much agree, but why make this into yet another - us vs. them post, when your point stands very well without it???

peace~

11. there was a poll posted bt Will Pitt awhile back . . .
. . . and it was a thunderous majority of DUers who said they intend to back our nominee. I don't think that's changed.

16. Well then why post the junk, of running Obama on Ind.ticket
You may think that the Obama people will vote for the other nominee, I don't. however they would expect others to vote for him... I stated I am a democrat and have many times voted for some I didn't like, heck I remember Jack Kennedy which I favored but some disliked and look how that turned out. I remember FDR and many many many were against him especially in the south and look how that turned out. I have nothing agains Obama, however some of his voters turn me off... I am Edwards all the way every day, but will go Hill because of experience and if she looses I intend in voting the ticket, not going to take my ball and go home to see MCCain win.

14. I suggest you address your remarks
to the dozen or so people here that chimed in on the "If Hillary doesn't win the nomination, I'm going to write her name in because it's time we had a woman President!" thread of about 2 or 3 days ago.

I have consistently said that I will vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination.
I won't be enthusiastic, but I will vote for her.

However... at this point, I have to add... it depends now on HOW she wins. If she wins the most number of pledged delegates from everywhere but FL and MI (those two states not counting in the primaries, as per DNC rulings), I will vote for her.

Should she get the FL and MI delegates seated and win, I will not vote for her.
Should she get sufficient Super delegates to vote for her and overturn the popular vote, I will not vote for her.
(and for the latest outrage!)
Should she somehow convince delegates pledged to Obama to switch their votes before the first ballot and win that way, I will not vote for her.

Sorry, when I made the pledge to vote for her should she win, I thought she was going to play by the rules. But recent actions have forced me to reconsider.
