I Could Never Support A Candidate Who Didn't Believe In Hopes and Dreams
Fuck that shit. Aren't we the Democratic party?

The party that hopes and dreams of a better life for all people?

The party that hopes and dreams that one day all people will be looked at as equals.

The party that hopes and dreams that one day there won't be a child who goes to be hungry.

The party that hopes and dreams that one day there won't be any more war.

The party that hopes and dreams that one day everyone will have a good paying job with benefits.

Aren't we still that party?

When did we become the Hillary Clinton party?

The party that says, don't hope, don't dream. You'll never get what you wish for.

The party that says, don't try to work with the other side, they hate you.

The party that says, it doesn't matter what red states think, it only matters what blue states think.

The party that says, if you speak eloquently you don't have any substance.

The party that says, if 16 states are all it takes to win the nomination, why try to get the other 34?

Do we really want to be that party?

Do we want to live in the cold, cynicism-laden world of Republican thought?

Do we dare to dream only when Hillary Clinton tells us it's okay to do so (like when we imagine the first female president)?

Fuck that.

And fuck her.

It's my party. My life. I'll dream if I damn well want to. And then I'll wake up and get to work on making those dreams a reality.

Go piss and moan, Hillary. Remain bitter that you never got to complete your 60s-era battles one last time. The world is moving on without you. Dreams are moving on with you. The democratic party is moving on without you.

Just go away. Or better yet, just stay where you are, we'll move away. Like a ship leaving an desert island, we bid you fond farewell.

Maybe one day, many years from now, you'll go to bed wondering why you never became president. You'll be wondering what you could have done differently. Should I have moved to the center here? Should I have moved to the left there?

Ultimately, you'll put your head down on your pillow and imagine yourself sitting in the White House.

You'll dream. Perhaps for the first time. And maybe you'll be happy.

The next morning you'll wake up and it will have all seemed so real.

But it wasn't. Because a dream dreamed by one person is not real. But a dream dreamed by millions is.

And then you'll realize why you didn't win. Because nobody else dreamed your dream.

Goodbye Hillary, it was nice knowing you.

:spray:More Kool-aid from the hope-a-dope camp on behalf of the "hope" candidate du jour.

16. I'm going to be very very very happy when my new cold fusion reactor arrives!
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 01:57 PM by billbuckhead
But I'm going to very very very unhappy when Democrats lose decisively a national election that should have been in the bag. All this built up political capital wasted on a limosine liberal vanity candidacy that can only divide America even further. Celebrate now, Republicans have over half a year and unprecedented media power to turn Obama and his movement into a bigger threat to the average American than Hussein and Osama combined.

13. your candidate doesn't have to believe in anything
she believes whatever you believe. Are you anti Iraq-war? she believes in that position. Are you pro-Iraq war, she believes in that position as well.

Your "nothing else either" reflects on your candidate's ability to generate hate, not hope.

Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 04:41 PM by polichick
Why does she want to be president ~ because it's the next thing on her to-do list, or because she DREAMS of seeing this country reach its full potential???
