Hillary Clinton's words reveal that she is a shameless liar...
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 03:08 PM by TwoSparkles
Listen to this video. Really listen.

This is Hillary Clinton on the Senate floor on October 2, 2002--explaining her "YES" vote on the Iraq war.

Listen closely to Hillary Clinton talking about what this vote means. Hillary told us, during her
last debate with Obama, that her "YES" vote was "a vote to let the inspectors do their jobs and not
a vote for war."

Listen. Listen to what Hillary Clinton says (at 00:52):

"This is a very difficult vote. This is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any
vote that might lead to war should be hard.
But I cast my vote with conviction."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkS9y5t0tR0

Hillary Clinton asserts that "this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make". Why would a vote
to "let the inspectors do their job" be "one of the hardest decisions" she's "ever had to make"?

Forget that the resolution was titled, "Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq".
She knew it was a vote that could lead to war, and she says that...right there in the video.

Hillary Clinton is a liar. A shameless liar. And she thinks you are stupid.

and Obama is not an empty suit. If you don't now what he's done, that's your problem. He has an impressive resume, as does she. And btw, that's "prophet" not "profit". How sad that you don't know the difference.

82. I'm SHOWING that Clinton is a shameless liar...
It's a fact.

She told us, during the debate--that her Iraq war vote, was not a vote for war. She insisted that it
was a vote to keep the inspectors in.

This video clearly shows--in her own words--that she knew this vote could lead to war.

Everyone and their dog knew this was a war vote. We knew she was lying when she insinuated that
a vote titled, "Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq"
was just some innocuous vote on keeping weapons inspectors in.

Now we see, that she's full of it. She is a liar Cali. A shameless liar. What other kind of liar
is there?

...and attack memes--drummed up by a shameless liar, Hillary.

Do you ever think for yourself?

Instead of spouting off the daily talking points--why don't you really take some
time to think about how Hillary has lied to you. She thinks you are an idiot.

Are you going to take that?

Are you going to regurgitate her lines and turn a blind eye to her warmongering and her
blatant lies?

She's counting on it. Those who want integrity restored to the White House, are hoping
that you open your eyes.

along with her campaign...

Ready on day one? Not even ready for a formidable primary opponent

35 years of experience? As First Lady (AK, US). Thanks to Bill, she's a poster child for feminism... NOT!

A fighter for the people? Yeah, 7 years in the Senate of going along with repukes to get ahead politically.

HRC and Team Hillary are truly empty of ideas, management, style, substance

4. If she meant it she would've joined Kerry when he stood against the decision to invade
when weapon inspections were working to prove force was not needed. He did it before, during and after the invasion, and she had plenty of time to join him and give back up to that position - but she stood with Bush. Even as the nominee was left on his own to make that stand as an IWR yes vote.

She wouldn't be having the credibility problems she is having now if she would have shown the integrity of her position then.

23. exactly
her words were cheap because after that shameful vote to authorize the use of force against a nation that was not an imminent threat and that had never harmed us, she was mute.

Never spoke out between the 10/2002 vote and the atrocity known as Shock and Awe in 3/2003.

In fact, didn't change her war tune until public opinion (manifested by the 2006 midterms) was at odds with her position and would jeopardize her POTUS bid!

All politicians lie but most of them about trivialities. HRC lies about Iraq because she doesn't really want to end it, her "supporters" (and I'm not talking about voters) wouldn't like that.

Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 04:32 PM by blm
And now she wonders why she isn't believed. Kerry MEANT it at the time before, during and after and took all the hits that came with it because other IWR voters like Hillary wouldn't stand with him.

Imagine if they had. Imagine if Bill chose to spend his 3 week book tour supporting Kerry's positions solidly instead of defending Bush the entire time.

how did she assess that? Through her staff since she has admitted that she didn't even read the NIE before the vote she "cast with conviction". There is blood on your hands Mrs. Clinton. this vote was bad enough then she compounds her inability to grasp the gravity of a situation by what I think is an even MORE egregious act in the senate with her support of the Kyl/Lieberman bill. If John Edwards endorses her after what HE said in the next to last debate about THAT vote, then I will lose a LOT of respect for the man.

46. His senate votes tell a different tale
I'm certainly not impressed that he had the great "courage" to oppose the war as a local politician from a solid blue state.

He continues, to this day, to fund the war and failed to vote on a bill setting us up for a potential war with Iran, which doesn't fill me with high confidence that he would had voted against the war had he actually been in the senate at the time. So just laugh it up while you can.

54. Defunding isn't much of an option. Sorry, I know that that's the Hillary supporters'
only defense (Obama funds!), but it's not a good or desirable way to end the war. Many, many people in Congress are hesitant to go there, for a whole host of good reasons--including Hillary. Nice try though.

50. too little, too late
An apology now for the unforgivable is too little, too late.

There are no do-overs, reincarnation of the dead, restoration of a society... with the death and devastation that this war has wrought.

May those who voted for this assault on a nation of innocent people who never posed an imminent threat to the US and never attacked the US pray for their own salvation.

Voting for the use of force is the most serious thing those Congress critters do. Tragic how many Dems with POTUS aspirations got it wrong. We expected as much from repukes.

59. yea we can
that's why we're all voting for him-HE didn't VOTE for a lie and then compound it with support of Kyl Lieberman. What IF the Bush admin. went and dropped tactical nukes on Iran like they wanted to and justified it by saying THAT amendment was as good as a declaration of war? How would you Hillary supporters defend THAT one too? Would you all say "oh well it's OK, she didn't think they'd actually GO to war". You people are delusional

77. All politicians lie. That is a fact of life.
It comes from trying to make everyone happy all the time, an impossible task, but necessary to get the most votes, saying different things to different constituencies.

The longer they've been in politics, the more lies they've told.

the old joke.

"How can you tell when a politician is lying?

His lips are moving."
