The Ballad of the Badger Ballot; or, The Audacity of Hype
(with my sincere apologies to Pete Townshend)

We're trudging up the streets
With icicles on our feet
To vote for the man Oprah worships as The One
And the kids who spur us on
Say that he can do no wrong
They decided when Will.i.am sang that song

So I'll tip my hat to our old Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

____________

I'm 60 now, and my generation has had two shots--producing (according to Alan Greenspan) the best Republican president of the 20th century (Bill) and the Worst President of Any Century (King George the Turd). Time to pass the torch. Don't drop it, Barack!

1. Yeah, that's a real "piece of work" - DAMN, Pete Townsend would be proud.

2. Here's the contribution from my generation ...
My first album was the Rolling Stone's "Exile on Main Street" but my second was Alice Cooper's "Under my Wheels." I know now that Alice Cooper is a scummy republican, but his tune *POISON* defines HRC's campaign to a T. I'll let the original Lyrics stand basically "as is."

HRC's "dirty tricks" campaign is *poison* to our Democratic Party.
