1. Lloyd is one of the best congress reps in the nation.
State Senator. Texas Supreme Court Justice. Congressman.

He's a great one.

8. Thanks. Here's a little nugget for you.
In 1984, when Lloyd was running for the Democratic nomination for the Senate to run against Phil Gramm in the general, and against Kent Hance in the primary, we brought in a new guy from Louisiana to run his campaign. A guy with receding black hair named James Carville. We also had a young guy who looked to be a comer, and he was assigned to work with Carville. His name was Paul Begala.

We won against Hance, lost to Gramm.

Obama also gained the support of Wisconsin Congressman Ron Kind, who had pledged to support the winner of his congressional district; he officially did so today.

I'm not sure how that works. I think it's more like an endorsement and pledge of vote.
