Understand this...
Clinton can't win in November. Period. We can have all the debates, and fights, and go on and on about what you do or don't like about the Obama campaign. In the end, he's the only path to the White House.

I love this party, but one reason we lose so much is because we have to fight within the party and can't jump on a clear oppurtunity. We've got the best candidate either party has offered in DECADES, and we're still bitching at each other.

Hillary needs to be a big girl and do what's right for her country and her party. Bill too. They need to put the future ahead of her resume, for all of us.

4. Sticking your fingers in your ears humming loudly will not change facts
There was nothing hateful in this post. The big question is will the Democratic party bring itself down yet again? I've said this until I am blue in the face - this election is bigger than any one candidate. Yes, I am supporting Barack but if he stood no chance of winning and staying in the race was only giving fodder to the repukes, I'd be asking him to get out. Every penny spent on this primary from here on out is a penny that could go to fight the repukes in November. Every attack made on either candidate is an attack that will be saved up to be thrown right back in our faces in the general election. This one is ours to lose.

5. Welcome to DU, Godfather
It might interest you to know that most of us here believe in democracy. Clinton has every right to run for as long as she's a viable candidate. That's the American system. It doesn't hurt us to have the primaries full out. Trust the people. That's what Barack does.

7. Piss off
Hillary is not a "girl", but then you knew that, didn't you.

And Obama is not the best candidate in decades.

15. I would disagree.
While I understand and accept your point, the OP has a point as well, even if they don't make it.

Obama has consistently led in GE state polls, picking up NV, CO, NH, VA, and WI, just to name a few, while Clinton does not. I'm not normally one to argue electability, but now that polls are starting to show a trend, it's something to be concious of.

19. You don't acknowledge my point.
Wouldn't you agree a candidate is more electable if they start out a GE campaign up in swing states as opposed to down?

26. I Was Being Honest, Not Nasty.
You told me you disagreed with me. Since I had only been implying to the OP that his statement that Hillary just simply CANNOT win is ridiculous, then your saying you disagree aligns you with him. Then you try and backtrack and claim that you don't agree with the OP's position. Well if you didn't agree with it, and all I did was disagree with it, then it makes no sense whatsoever why you chose to respond to me. That means you just simply stuck your nose in to debate me for sake of doing so, even though my point was accurate and you didn't even truly disagree with it. Do you not grasp this?

9. I think Sen. Clinton is actually more likely to win than Sen. Obama
I havent decided who to vote for yet, but I do think Sen. Clinton's political experience would benefit her a great deal in a general election.

12. I agree...
... I like Hillary. I deeply respect her and Bill both.

But Obama is a winner in November and she is not. Simple as that for me. All the evidence at this point backs this up.

I'm not going to tell her to quit. That's for her and her advisors to decide. But the writing is on the wall and hopefully the 'exit strategy' is being put in place in a way that will maintain her dignity and the respect of the public and her viability in the future as a leader of the party and the senate.

She has an important role to play and we need her in the mix, but that role is quite clearly NOT as the 44th POTUS.

13. Sexist, bully like, undemocratic
Those are my top three adjectives for your posting, and I am an undecided voter. You are representing a candidate. Think about that one. Not everybody agrees with you. Millions thus far do not. Millions have yet to vote.
I say your candidate needs to be a man and run like a Democrat instead of the Lamb volunteering for nap time in the Lion's den if he wants to earn my yet uncast vote. He needs to be clear that he will be standing with my family, not with those who seek to destroy my family. Thus far, he has not done so. In short, he needs to win his Party. Winning the Party is the only path to the White House. The path to the White House lies with the people, not the person.
What you want is to have your way, without winning it. Hilarious. This election cycle is pablum, a cakewalk, child's play compared to past races, not to mention compared to what the nominee will face from the Republicans.
