There's no doubt that we all see things through our own filters and apply to it our own biases.
I am not a big fan of either one of our candidates, but will be proud to vote for the eventual nominee.
In tonight's debate, it is my observation that Clinton won the debate. And her final statement was a Grand Slam. I also felt she was much more substantive than Obama. On health care she was far stronger than he.
She flubbed more than few, too. She should a line through "Xerox" in her notebook. And that plagiarism thing is a non-starter; to be SURE, she doesn't write her own shit either. Obama got a line from a friend. Big deal. Drop it, Hillary ... I'm tellin' ya.
But all of this is political mental masturbation.
Obama has the momentum. It was clear that the audience favored him. He'll win either Tejas or Ohio (and maybe both). While Clinton will stay in the race, it won't matter.
I now need to get my head around Obama.
As an aside, I also noticed that there was a very welcome absence from the debate - the "Black Preacher". I can not believe I am the only one who noticed that Obama was back to the voice, inflection, and cadence we all know is his more usual style - or at least his more usual public/politician style. I'm glad of that. He was getting too far into the weeds with the affectation and I fear he could scare away voters. As a nation and as a people we have come a long way ..... but we're not there yet. He needs to get elected. (No, this is not about me and my feelings. I hear this more often than I should, and I'm in Maryland .... not your basic red state.
