Okay, so before tonight's debate, I sort of couldn't stand Hillary. Now, I don't dislike Hillary AS MUCH as I did an hour before this debate. I think she is brilliant. I just don't agree with her health plan or her vote for the Iraq war. I also don't like some of the dirty tricks she has used (belittling him and his voters, racialization of some things, even on a subconscious level). And I kind of think she is in bed with Wall Street and the rest of corporate America. But I like that tough woman, for some reason. I don't think I can stomach Bill anymore and I loved him once upon a time. But Hillary, I think I can grow to love her again. But I also love the "common man" touch of Barack. I love his ideas. I love his newness because it is so refreshing. We've lived in the dark ages for so long and we need drastic change. He is so open to ideas and willing to pull everyone in. He is transparent. He is positive. I feel like I can trust him with the country and my life. I have doubts about Hillary sometimes, but I think she is super smart. I will be voting for Barack, but I don't totally hate Hillary that much anymore.
I know the most important thing we as Democrats MUST do is come together. We have to figure out some kind of way to get past this divisiveness and just "get real" about kicking out the Republicans this November. The way I have watched the Republicans rally around McInsane today has boggled my mine. They won't go without a fight. We need a unified party to do this. Let's come together!
