9. In a sense, most politics is plagiarism...
People find good ideas and build on them. There are times when credit should be given, but there are also moments when you want the sound of previously spoken words to echo in the ear of the public. "We hold these truths to be self-evident" -- how many times is Lincoln credited?? The speaker expects the audience to know where that comes from and to get into the spirit of it...

On the other hand, "it's personal for me" is not in the same category!
