Simply put, Obama and Clinton both win OH, MO, NM, MN, MA, CA, NY (144 electoral votes) against McCain
Of those states, Clinton is stronger in OH, MO and MA, while Obama is stronger in NM, MN, CA and NY. (I am not seeing a pattern there).
Obama wins OR, VA and IA against McCain while Clinton loses (27 electoral votes)
McCain wins AL and KS against both Obama and Clinton (15 electoral votes)

1. How does Obama do better than Clinton in her own state?
Mind boggling.

3. Probably the margin of error.
They both do well in the blue states, and I don't really see a pattern to who is stronger where.

7. Hillary wins MO, Obama loses - and MO is the bellwether that goes with the winner.
Enough Said.

Hillary is above 50% - which is a hard win.
Obama is below - and leads by less.

14. Yeah, you kinda are. It's not the Hillary winning part that's wrong. You specifically said...
"Obama loses MO," and that's simply not true.

why I can't afford to bet it all on Obama.

11. What are you talking about? Both Hillary and Obama win in MO.
In fact, there are only three states in which one Dem. candidate wins while the other loses -- Oregon, Virginia and Iowa.

And in every case, the Dem. candidate that wins is Obama.

31. Yes, it is so sad that I can't see how Obama generally outperforms Hillary in general election polls
wether they are state by state, or nationwide.

Are you going to apologize for lying?

26. While I agree that an Obama/Warner ticket would kick butt, I thought Warner was planning on running
for the Senate. Obama + southern governor = landslide in November

33. It's FEBRUARY
The election is light years from now. Today's polls will be useless next week.

Just look at all the polls that had Hillary ahead by 20 points in Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.

None of this matters right now. What matters is ending this primary fight, unifying the party, and delivering a product the American people want to buy. Do that, and the polls take care of themselves.
