I will use my 3rd post to give big ups to Hillary Clinton re: her handling of officer death
Edited on Fri Feb-22-08 12:59 PM by wndycty
To my fellow Obama supporters put politics aside in this thread and join me in giving kudos to Hillary on her response to the tragic death of the motorcycle cop. She is sacrificing important time on the campaign trail to visit the family.

Lastly, no matter what folks think of her campaign please no comments on her milking this, sometimes its important to do the right thing and she is doing the right thing.

2. I would have been surprised if she had done anything different.
I may not support her but I think she is a decent human being who raised a great child...I would not have expected anything less from her.

6. has the RW media made the claim (yet)
that she had him killed?

You know, if she became the nominee, they would make the claim ...

7. Thanks wndycty, you are one of the classiest Obama supporters here
I know there are many more but they're not as high profile as you, or as vocal as the nonclassy ones.

I've been working all day and not looked at news online or on TV. On a brief break I came here, saw the terrible news and the dismaying discussions surrounding it. I think I'll stick to work.

14. such a SAD...SAD tragedy. Hubby just told me about it.
this accident could have happened in relation to either candidate. Hillary is not personally responsible and I think she is nice for meeting with the officer's family. Either candidate would have done that.

They are both humanitarians and are emphasizing that
in their campaigns.

This is a horrible tragedy.

29. Anyone who is decent
would have. I am a democrat, but I know a lot of decent people and some of them don't even vote. It is traumatic for her, and everyone involved, I imagine. I saw a motorcycle crash several years ago, man and woman killed. People were gawking. Long line of cars stopped of course, for the police and ambulances. It was traumatic for me, and I didn't know the people at all. I just think it is always traumatic to see these terrible accidents. I've seen one in the last six months - saw the car aside the highway on a steep slope nearly in the lake. I was on my way to the hospital at the time. They brought the man there. He died. It's very, very upsetting for onlookers, and for Hillary since it was her campaign. I can only imagine what the officers family is feeling.

26. If anyone is slamming her they are NUTS
Haters could make a case against Hillary no matter what, if she didn't cancel events she would be uncaring, since she did someone could claim she is an opportunist.

She did the right thing in a bad situation. No second guessing!
