Fox News Poll Asks, "Who Would Usama Vote For?"
A Fox News poll, released yesterday, asked respondents: "Who do you think terrorist leader Usama bin Laden wants to win the presidential election?" As Think Progress says, "Not surprisingly, the poll concludes that the terrorists prefer Democrats."

Among all respondents, 30% think bin Laden would support Barack Obama, with 22% responding that he'd favor Hillary Clinton and 10% responding that he'd favor John McCain. Only 18% think it doesn't matter who bin Laden wants to win, while another 20% simply don't know.

To review the results in detail, including a breakdown of responses by party affiliation, download the PDF version of the report here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/22/fox-news-poll-asks-who-_n_88027.html

3. I'm sure Usama wants GWBush for a third term... after all, Bush let him...
unleash the biggest attack on American soil, and gave up the hunt to get him. What nicer friend could Usama have in the White House?

18. Athough fox's slant is unmistakable
stifling dissent is not the democratic way.

They have every right to express their OPINIONS.

Perhaps you meant that Fox should rename itself to reflect being a tabloid instead of "news"
In the same light, the NewYorkTimes would have to do the same thing since they are arguably very liberal.

Unfortunately, the first amendment applies to everyone and I will fight to protect that right...even if I don't like what they are saying.

But yeah...they shouldn't be disguised as a 'news' orginization.

7. God, no, I'm not following THAT link. I want to eat dinner in a little while,
and would hate to have my appetite ruined.

"Only 18% think it doesn't matter who bin Laden wants to win..." That tells you a LOT about Fox viewers, doesn't it?

13. George Bush is Osama bin Laden's best friend.
Bin Laden could not have hoped for a better response by George Bush to his Sepetember 11th attacks if he had scripted it himself. Bush took the bait and responded recklessly and foolishly by commiting this country to an unwinnable war that is driving a wedge between us and the Muslim world. So a small group of Islamic fanatics were able to get the U.S. to create a power vacuum in Iraq that we are stuck filling. The longer this war drags on, the more animosity between our country and the arab world will be generated and the happier bin Laden will be. Of course, I'm sure that he's tickled pink that the Iraq war has diverted our attention from finding him. Any statement by bin Laden has to be viewed in the light of how he expects the U.S. to react. When you hear a statement by bin Laden think: Reverse Psychology. If he says that he supports John Kerry, he's trying to build support for Bush and the continuation of the war. So I won't be surprised if he comes out with a statement of support for the Deomocratic nominee in this years election. Unfortunately, many Americans don't think beyond their first knee-jerk reaction to these types of statements to understand the real intent of the message. I have to hand it to him, he is a very effective manipulator of U.S. public opinion.
