Clinton won't clarify post-March 4 plans
CNN: Clinton won't clarify post-March 4 plans

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton declined to say Friday whether she will continue her presidential run past the upcoming March 4 contests, no matter their outcome.

Her campaign has been looking to strong showings in the states of Ohio and Texas, which vote on that day, as key to reversing the momentum of Democratic rival Barack Obama, who has won 11 straight contests.

When Clinton was asked by NBC Today Show co-host Meredith Vieira whether she’ll continue her run regardless of the results in those states, the New York senator said only: “Well Meredith, I don’t make predictions. I never have, I never will. I just get up every day and do the best I can to let people know what I have done, what I am doing and what I will do.”

Clinton has held the advantage in those delegate-rich states, but recent polls in show both races tightening.

Before Thursday night’s presidential debate, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, told a Texas crowd that his wife’s presidential run hinged on her success in the state – and that if she did not fare well there, she was unlikely to win her party’s nomination....

11. WOW... that's so unbelievable.
Only given what has happened in Nebraska and Maine and Virginia and D.C. and Idaho and Washington and Wisconsin, I sort of do believe it.

Events have to be planned well in advance: securing a location, securing an alternate location, caterers, media, advertisements... it's almost like she wants it, but she doesn't want to work for it.

I don't know. I think she is finally stepping out of Penn's bubble and seeing the reality of the situation for the first time. She may not plan on fighting past March 4th.

I say she withdraws if she loses both TX and OH. But if she wins one of them, I think she soldiers on.

3. You can't blame her.
If she said she would, then she might as well drop out now. (which I know would
make you Obama people very happy)

5. I think she's realizing that real damage can be done to the Party and the Clinton name
if they fight this out tooth and nail and ignore the writing on the wall. I suspect there's serious consideration going on about suspending the campaign if she loses either TX or OH.

6. If she does poorly on March 4, I think money becomes the factor of when she drops out
I doubt that she will have the funds to make it through late April. People donating $100,000 chunks to 527s doesn't help a lot if the campaign itself can't pay staffers or lease for the campaign jet.

10. I don't blame her. No matter how much we plan for contingencies, we don't
really KNOW what we'll do, until we're THERE. She's earned the right NOT to be rushed.
