Famous "Final" moments in campaigns....
Not the actual ending, but the moment when everyone KNEW it was over:

1984 Dem primaries: Gary Hart "dares" the media to provide proof that he's cheating on his wife. They do.

1988 GOP primaries: Bob Dole's "Stop lying about my record!" in debate with George HW Bush.

1988 general: Michael Dukakis clinically, and with no emotion, answers question about what he'd do if Kitty Dukakis was raped

1996 general: Bob Dole falls off of stage at campaign event.

2000 GOP primaries: George Bush's flyers about John McCain's "black baby" in South Carolina

2004 Dem primaries: The Dean Scream

2008 Dem primaries: Hillary's hissy-fit in Cincinnati prior to Ohio primary.
