CBS News....Flyers Have Been Out For Months...Clinton Outrage

..........CBS says the flyer's that Hillary became outraged over today had been sent out months ago so WHY did she bring it up today....???

Last week on MSNBC it was suggested that the only way that Hillary can survive is to try and find some dirt or do her best at discrediting Obama in hopes to win Texas and Ohio since her message is losing steam, well she has decided to pull an old rabbit out of the hat in the form of an old flyer.

Barak is right she has basically changed her tune again. This is all a Hillary tactic I have to believe she has pulled a play out of the book of Rove.

18. Hillary should change to the Day Shift.
You just lose touch with reality working the Night Shift.

Poor Hillary.

Sad.

When my brother and I heard on the evening news, that she just got one of the fliers today, we both looked at each other and said, "Yeah right!"

4. If they have been out for months, and if they are incorrect, why hasn't Obama pulled them?
How long these flyers have been out is irrevelant. I think HRC has even mention these flyers before, and I know I've heard about at least one of them.

Her anger could easily have come from the fact that she just found out that the Obama Campaign is continuing to distribute information they already know to be wrong.

5. She needed an excuse to hold a presser--free air time for the cash-strapped. She pulled
a Huckabee--pointless press conference so everyone sees the clip of her barking "Shame on you, Barack Obama!" as if he made some sort of baseless personal attack on her character. It's also to make everyone think he went unfairly negative.

13. I did not know when the ads had been distributed, but if this report is
true, we have the fake outrage mode coupled with the "We're losing ground fast" mode, plus the additional variable of "How much am I paying my husband's hack chums to betray my best interests," all delivered with the scolding schoolmarm on the playground voice, complete with "Shame on you, Barack Obama" line, as if he were 9 years old.

I could have come from the Edwards group into one or the other of these campaigns, but the Clinton effort is just stinking up the place, IMO. Their effort in Wisconsin was absolutely chaotic, inconsistent, unclear, unfocused, unorganized, and ultimately disastrous.

27. Think you may owe CorpGovActivist a shout out
He got blistered by many on here for describing her Hillaryness as a school marm. Add that to Colbert's "clap-clap, point-point" observation and the picture is complete. Think she's quite capable and would be acceptable as our President, just have other preferences.

It's almost as though the Murdoch boys behind Rudy's campaign are in charge for HRC now.

30. I steal ALL my ideas from CorpGovActivist, and of course from early
Hitchcock.

She chose the language, she stood in front of several mikes and used it, and that was what she said.

Had she asked me, I would have written her different words.

Interesting point on Rudy's campaign. That guy fell far from way up and landed hard.

38. Listen, bigbrother05 -- you're WAY ahead of me. I'm not kidding.
I'm having a tough time understanding why she approved the points of emphasis in her campaign in Wisconsin. What a damn mess that was. In the state capital, he overflows a 17,000 - 20,000 seat venue and she schedules one for 3,500. We didn't need a lot of statisticians to predict the outcome of the Madison vote. And the whole week the Clinton camp kept bellowing like a wounded moose over "plagiarism," and we didn't hear much about health care reform until Monday night the even of the primary.

Maybe things can turn around for her in Ohio, but at the moment, it looks as if the ship's taking on water and the crew are sharpening their mutiny knives.

40. It's almost like they couldn't handle success
Started well, even though from the 20 yard line in a 100 yard race. Then seemed to fall apart under pressure. Even Edwards, for all his challenges, ran a well disciplined campaign. Think all the major egos in the HRC camp led to critical mass and we are now watching the fallout. Only hope they don't leave the party radioactive.

Plus, McCain is such an antiquated dunderhead. I'm with several other posters who will have to be confined to a vomatorium if he keeps saying 'My friends..." all the time.

42. Notice how he's gone all "Whispering Bill" Anderson?
Think he's been working on his kindly old codger persona, hoping to channel Saint Ronnie as he moves into the GE. Can barely hear him in a nearly empty room in front of a mike. Has mistaken a halting, inaudible speech pattern for down home, folksy. The GE debates will be brutal, Obama will carve him up.

44. It's true. His voice is running on remote control. There's no
dynamic to it at all.

We may get the Medieval construction of indulgences -- instead of a tooth from the jaw of St. Jerome, it will be the Ronny's gall bladder in a bottle of formaldehyde.

Agree -- if Obama is our nom, McCain will be vanquished on that debate stage.

36. I earlier posted a couple links to previous articles on claims/mailer & clinton objections.

More links no doubt are available if one wishes to look for previous discussions/objections by the Clinton campaign to Obama's assertions and/or these mailers. (Full disclosure: I don't care for deliberate misrepresentations of a candidate's position or the facts. Both campaigns do that.)

The Obama claims re: NAFTA and health care have been out there for months & responded to by Clinton campaign. The mailers have been out at least for weeks. Neither is "new" or "just came to the attention" of the Clinton campaign.

Clinton's sudden "spontaneous outrage" is a bit of political theater in a critical battleground state. Must admit, it's a bold dramatic move but cuts more than one way: while it gives ammo to the "Obama's a dirty campaigner" theme (and Hillary as "victim?"), it also feeds into the "Hillary is emotionally overwrought" "unhinged" gang as well as the "Hillary is a political calculator and opportunist" theme since these mailers and their assertions were not previously unknown to the campaign. (As if any successful politician was not a political calculator and opportunist.)

39. Hi, Garbo 2004. Well, the information coming in that the ads have been
out there and that your assessment sounds exactly right. It really does cut both ways, and so it's a roll of the dice by Mark Penn, or Wolfson, or whoever's doing the rolling these days in that campaign.

We'll see how she does in the Buckeye State. If she whomps Obama, she's back in the headlines. If he pulls close or possibly wins, she's done for.

45. One like she's holding in this pic was mailed to family in Cleveland in early Jan
After the first post I saw of this earlier today I send this pic to my family in Ohio and she said they did receive that one back in January. -- There's an article from Huffington about it (link is posted someplace in GD-P) from Feb 1. I don't doubt they are still being sent and some have only recently gotten it, but the flyer has been floating around for several months.

19. Do you have a link?
Very important find and it would show that the timing (and agenda) was an 11th hour pre-planned attack by the Clinton campaign.

If these flyers have been circulating for months, her most angry (to date) attack on Obama would seem driven far more by politics then by substance.

Thanks for sharing.

26. In NO today, she said she has pointed this out to his campaign several times,
it just hasn't been covered by the media until now. Then we have Obama responding with CNN's "ELECTION BOWL" coverage. At least now they are being transparent about making this into a football contest, rather than an election for the President of the United States.

It's the media who would LOVE to continue this wild chaotic primary season. They benefit in huge advertiser dollars.
