Is it just me or has this been a very weird primary campaign? I'm assuming that, unless the Hillary team can pull off a miracle, Obama will be the nominee and that's fine. He wouldn't have been my preferred candidate but I think he'll probably make a decent president. But how weird is it that...
- The candidates with most actual experiance were forced out early?
- The guy with the populist message couldn't seem to buy any facetime on the news?
- The probable nominee is a guy with very little experiance. Oh, and he's young and black too.
- Who would have thought a primary contest where the candidates agree on at least general principles would get so ugly?
- To hear the right tell it, the Democratic party is dominated by the extreme-left, so how come the only guy with a genuinely left-wing message (Kucinich, the others being mainly moderates) couldn't get out of single figures?
- Last election's virtual winner didn't even endorse his running mate.
- The last candidates left would be a woman and a black guy. Granted, it shouldn't be a surprise but it is.
- One of the candidates middle names is used as a tactic.
What a truly bizarre primary.
