I NEVER post. I've been lurking on this page for something like 6 years and I don't think I've ever INITIATED a post.

Caveat: I currently support Obama.

However, I will support WHOEVER the nominee is. I don't care if Clinton supposedly has less of a chance of beating McCain (the supposed "polarizing" issue), or if Obama supposedly has less of a chance of beating McCain (due to a "lack of experience").

Does anyone here SERIOUSLY believe that either of our candidates will be a WORSE President than McCain?!? Mr. "100 Years In Iraq"!?

Let's not be RIDICULOUS.

NO MATTER WHO THE NOMINEE IS, WE MUST ALL WORK TOWARD A DEMOCRATIC VICTORY. We're FUCKED if the Repuklicans have another 4 (or EIGHT) years at the helm.

So for FIVE FUCKING SECONDS, can we stop the attacks on the Democratic candidates?!? Either way, we'll have an incredible Democrat as our nominee (not to mention an HISTORIC candidate) to go up against essentially a third Bush term.

I've already requested November 3rd and 4th off to work for the nominee (in Arizona I'm working uphill against McAsshole). Can we all agree on THAT at least? I look forward to your responses (although I'll read them when I get up... it's 5:35am here).

I have a bottle of wine in me. However, Clinton is better than McCain. I'll acknowledge that. However, Obama is better than Clinton. My opinion.

By the way, you've been here since 2004. You're not a newbie. Newbies these days tend to be bots from one or the other campaign, and you can usually spot them because they're posting the max three threads a day, they're always shrill, and they registered within the last month or two.

I've only been here since 2002, but I largely lurk (hence having less than 1500 posts after nearly six years) as well. Sometimes useful posts come up, but this "silly season" is not one of those times.

We'll weather the storm. It will eventually pass. Those of us with long memories can stick around and continue sharing useful information after the trolls and bots have passed.

I agree that those doing nothing more than trying to rip our party apart will dissaparate once the nominee is chosen, and we will all unite behind Obama OR Clinton. I HOPE... which is the point of this thread...

3. I feel as though, once again, the M$M has selected our candidates.

The leftovers in this horserace are the lesser of the evils once again. I thought after 8 yrs of dissolusionment, people would wake the fuck up. Unfortunately, they have not. I will not work my ass of for any Presidential aspirations at this point. I will work at trying to get more local progressive candidates elected so that one day we may have real news again and fair elections with verified paper ballots. Ya'll can have your little GD:P, ya'll are already doing a great job for the Republicans come this fall.

6. To be fair...

I was idealistically a Kucinich man, and my beautiful wife was an Edwards woman. However, she's the one that forced me to take off Election Day (and the day before) to work for the nominee, because she feels we'd be hypocritical "morans" if we didn't. I agree with her, in that we HAVE to win this election... for the sake of our future children, YOUR future children, etc. At this point, it's not about who we like the most... it's about making the Dem. nominee the winner.

19. I'll vote and work my ass off for people who deserve it.. Obama-mania

has enough hysterical asshats to do his bidding for him.. I'm going to try to work the elections this year.. It takes a bit of time to do all the training and all.. and its always a bunch of older people who don't really know the rules or really know what to do in case of a malfunction. So, I'm hoping to take "vacation" to try to work the polls.. As for the presidential elections.. I don't think McCain is going to win.. unless Ombama's skeletons look worst than McCains.. I'm not sure who the media is wanting to protect at this point... We'll see. AND perhaps this "hope" thing will inspire people to start demanding to be the people again... unfortuanately, I don't think there are enough left who care to keep doing, and enough younger people who know better... Bush has had them in a perpetual cycle of "lockdown" for 8yrs. I don't think they know what critical thinking, analysis, or real history of the world looks like.. Just ask people in this country where Iraq is on a map, and they don't even know.. shit most cannot even correctly label states in this country.

Well, my wife, my roommates and I (it's a less than typical situation here) had a little "meeting of the minds" tonight, which usually ends up in a LOT of drinking. Somehow, I type (not to mention SING) better when I'm fairly inebriated, and I don't get hangovers (I think I drink about 3 gallons of water before I actually sleep). My wife and I had to buy my roommate Jeremiah a snifter tonight so that he'd stop SHOOTING Courvoisier (the BRUTE!). And I had to partake, of course. ;)

7. Well, I'm not drunk and I really appreciate this post.

Caveat: I am a Hillary supporter.

Having said that I will gladly support Obama in the GE if he is the Democratic nominee. I hope that the excitement that has been generated during this primary season will carry through to the GE as people realize that our nominee, regardless which one of these two highly qualified candidates that turns out to be, is a much better choice for our country than John McCain.

I'll support the living HELL out of Hillary if she is the nominee in November. I couldn't possibly agree with your sentiment more. McCain essentially equals a 3rd Bush term, and I truly feel as if we'd all be fools to allow that to happen.

I have a workmate who is fairly conservative (and I mean OLD school conservative, which is odd to me because he is all of 26 years old), yet smart enough to realize that Bush (and even McCain) aren't "conservative" in the old school sense (think Goldwater). So he is sitting out this election altogether, and I am VIGOROUSLY encouraging him to do so (he wouldn't vote for Obama or Clinton regardless). As well as 2 other workmates of mine, which say the SAME THING (that they SWEAR they aren't voting this time around because they have no one to vote for). And they CONTINUE to say this, as recently as Friday. So let's not give them any reason to rally around McDickFuck. That's all I ask. :)

Another hopeful call for UNITY on the part of ALL of us Dems. Try supporting your candidate without tearing down the other. Commit to working for WHOMEVER carries the Dem nomination, and, MOST importantly, Courvoisier is to be SIPPED, not SHOT. For the love of CHRIST. And goodnight to you all. :)
