"Do not go quietly into that Goodnight," Hillary!
Keep fighting for that nomination until you've been mathematically eliminated.

Don't listen to those slugs that tell you that you're destroying the party, because they're liars! REAL Democrats want a President that will fight for them, not a President that wants to reach across the aisle.

This is not the image we need to put forth. She's letting her ambition overrule common sense.

44. "Most people" being Obama supporters
But if the Obama supporters would step outside their self-righteous cocoons they'd see that many people, even those that don't support HRC, feeling very alienated by what is going on. And come election time they might just be writing in another name or even sitting it out rather than vote Obama.

As much as I can't stand Hillary, I would have voted for her had she won. Your claims of "good conscience" seem a bit hollow -- I don't see how a Democrat follows their conscience and arrives at the conclusion you have.

The supporters of the camp who is giving McCain so many slam lines that the NY Times even says they can't tell if certain items are originating out of the Clinton or McCain camps...

The supporters who will sit home, write in or whatever as opposed to supporting our nominee...

Why on EARTH would we blame you all for a loss to McCain?

3. she's done more than reach across the aisle
Edited on Sun Feb-24-08 05:05 PM by yourguide
she's reached into the pockets of lobbyists and has garnered over $750,000 in contributions from them to her campaign.

Much rather a little reaching across the aisle then reaching out to take money from the lobbyists - I think you meant fighting for the lobbyists, not fighting for us.

4. She has been mathematically eliminated.
She would have to win by 20 points in every remaining competitive state to just break even with Obama on delegates, let alone pull ahead or win.

And you imagine her being a president who "fights for you," but what you're really talking about is a continuation of the current political gridlock, where nothing gets done because of the 50/50 divide, as opposed to bringing moderate Republicans and independents over to our side in order to accomplish our goals.

46. Pulling The Party To The Center????
The "Party" is so far to the Right that it
can't even see the "Center". DK was the only
nominee who is left of Center.

The Center is where the people are. The ones who want single payer health care.
The ones who want out of Iraq, who want a stop loss on exporting jobs.

I don't think Obama cares where the "center" of either Party is.
He's going for the center of where the people themselves want to be.

But Hillary wants her cake and eat it too. She preaches equality, but she wants special treatment. As Jane Fonda observed, Hillary is the patron saint of the patriarchy. Her campaign will be as much a setback for women's rights as her miserable failure on health care was for health care reform.
