Big threat, don't think we should worry.

2. Don't let common sense fool you.
Nader's guilty of everything except the Second Coming(tm).

Yet.

5. Americans need a boogie man
it's part of the national psyche- someone to hate and blame for what are largely their own problems....

7. I'm not "worried" about him. But I still think he's a flaming egotistical fucktard.
Funny, he only got .3% in 2004-even with

all that
REPUBLICAN MONEY AND HELP
he happily accepted.

Nader's proven that he's an ass who only gives a fuck about one thing- Himself.

8. Well, obviously he wasted their money.
We should be thanking him.

9. I greatly doubt that citizens will be lining up to donate ...
He had a more positive cache the first time around, when he asked regular citizens to pony up ... considerably less the next time ...

This time ? ... He is going to have a tough sell to anyone who has been awake the last 8 years ...

He might just die on the vine, without little available funding ....

10. What upsets me most;
What upsets me most about all this isn't that Nader cost us votes in the election; its the fact that people felt disenfranchised enough to vote 3rd party. They voted 3rd party to make a point, but no one seems to have gotten it.

And nothing has been done in the past 8 years to make these people feel like they're represented in the Democratic Party (because most of those people who voted Nader were liberals and progressives from the Democratic Party). IMHO, it's only going to get worse.

That being said, I'd never vote for Nader...

11. I don't think they can do it. They can run to the middle or run to the left. But the
"big tent" idea? I just don't see how it can work without leaving someone feeling under-served/represented.

I agree. The Greens are a bigger "threat" than Nader this year (and the Greens are a non-factor).

16. If anything, he manages to unite a party fractured by an intense primary.
I already see a rallying of Hillary and Obama supporters around a common loathing for Nader. That, and I think there's actually a chance he'll siphon off some of McCain's independent supporters.
