Obama Draws Big Toledo Crowd; 5,000 Turned Away
<snip>

TOLEDO — The biggest crowd in two days — more than 10,000 — greeted Barack Obama here on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the University of Toledo's Savage Hall even as Obama found himself confronting a new potential presidential foe — consumer advocate Ralph Nader.

Ben LaBolt, Obama spokesman, said that this was the biggest crowd of any Ohio Obama campaign event. The fire marshal turned away 5,000 people, LaBolt said.

Earlier in the day, his bus trip took him to the National Gypsum plant in Lorain, west of Cleveland, where he kept up his spat over NAFTA with Hillary Clinton, his opponent in the March 4 Democratic primary.

Obama was scheduled to campaign at Wright State University in Fairborn today, Feb. 25.

At the Toledo rally, Alicia Harris, 17, from suburban Ottawa Hills, jumped up and down as Obama began to speak.

"I feel that he's the best person who can unite this country in a way we've never been before," said Harris, who turns 18 on March 25, making her eligible to vote.

7. Both of them make me want to move to Europe
both are playing to their bases ... the same bases that gave us Bush in 2000 and Bush in 2004.

The old Judea-Christian theme, with a bit of hallelujah thrown in by Obama and a bit of fear/lack of experience thrown in by Hillary.

In the end, you'll get the same old bunch of folks who have failed to impeach the most corrupt Presidential Admin in history and the same old bunch who have yet to hold even ONE, SINGLE, PERSON, accountable for the crimes perpetuated against our nation, its Constitution, or the world (illegal spying on Americans, outing a CIA officer, lying to us about Iraq, Iran, etc.)

18. Turned away only 5000? He should have had to turn away 50,000
Since the weather was nice today he should have had over 100,000. Clearly he is done. His campaign is on a downward spiral and every one can see through his false hope; we must simply accept things the way they are. Bah, humbug.

Still, I don't believe 10,000 were there. I will await patiently for the traffic report and an accurate appraisal from that poster of the Ozarks.

She told him in no uncertain terms to stop with the speeches and BIG rallies.

Think she'll give him a timeout.
