Or does the right-wing usually claim that Al-Qaeda supports the nominee after they have already been chosen? I forgot.

1. I think Al-Qaeda is required to wait 6 months after the GOP officially endorsed Obama - and
the GOP endorsement was by way of emails suggesting "cross-over" votes when possible and caucus declaration when possible - so that may not be official

4. Al Qaeda would love to endorse McCain
100 years of war would be great for their business.

I have quite a few Iranian friends. Several I've known for over twenty years and just as I speculate here, the same goes there as far as this being the "Cold War" of this generation. Almost quoting them, they have told me that over there George Bush is good for Ahmadinejad as is Ahmadinejad to Bush here. It's hard to convince the public that large armies and bloated defense spending is more necessary than education and social programs unless you use fear and propaganda to deceive them. Each side needs to tell the masses that they need them (leaders) to protect them from somebody else who has a different religion or different form of government.

And of course to also convince the masses that we can't and shouldn't have diplomacy with the other side, we only need to kill them.
