"Why is Obama So Upset!"
Oh, please, people. Does it really need to be explained at this point?

Politics of Fear and Prejudice, no matter the originating source.

1. They can't deny, apparently, so now they'll feign ignorance.

10. The photo went out to 3 million on 2/7 via GOP media - and Obama's upset now?
Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 12:37 PM by papau
Here is a link to a conservative blog that contains a photo of the page from the February 4th 2008 National Enquirer smear story about Barack Obama that contained the picture of him in traditional African garb:

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obama-wore-muslim-ge...

The story was titled:

"Obama's Shocking Al Qaeda Link"

Here are the circulation figures that the National Enquirer releases about their rag:

"Place a classified ad in the National Enquirer. This weekly tabloid has excellent circulation at 2,760,000. Ad is placed in the classified area of the magazine under the appropriate category. Certain restrictions apply, and ads must meet the approval requirements of the National Enquirer. Circulation: 2,760,000."

Do you think an internal Clinton staff email discussing the photo just broke this news to American voters?

11. I think it's one thing when GOP does it
and entirely different when a Dem does it (if, in fact, it was sent by HRC supporters), no?

His copy-paste fingers must be getting a bit sore after all the spamming.

12. The same reason camp hillary fired supporters for sending "obama is an muslim" email....

Why did camp hillary fire staffer for spreading the obama is a muslim rumor.

26. who says he is so upset, the media?
the media is creating the drama.

I don't think Obama is reacting like the media is painting this, nor the
way this insane forum is painting it.

I haven't seen Obama anywhere saying the stuff the stupid media says.

Its stupid, but maybe its meant to distract from the other crazy stuff Hillary is
doing.

19. And it just keeps pouring in here
I can't count the threads where posters are rationalizing with "I don't get it... What's wrong with the photo?"

Are they all feigning ignorance, or do they really not get it?

6. I am dumbfounded at the attempt to rationalize this matter in the way I am seeing
It's one thing to say, "Wait, we can't trust Drudge, so let's see where this originated...", but it's an entirely different matter to try to rationalize it in the manner they are, IMHO.

8. Wow!
Your guy has a picture taken on a foreign visit. The picture is out in the public domain, apparently. And you object to it being seen ... because?

I don't get why you object to the photo being seen. And I don't get that you take Drudge at his word that some Clinton staffer circulated it. It makes your side look defensive, thin skinned, and frankly paranoid. What will happen when some real incoming is direct your way?

15. Thanks for making my point.
I don't object to it being seen. I don't mind this being seen either:

What is the point of circulating either photo?

And based on Clinton's reaction to Obama exposing her on NAFTA, I can only imagine how Hillary would be lecturing if someone from the Obama campaign had done the same with the photo above.

5. If a photo of her dressed up as a french maid was circulated we would all be sexist pigs attacking
her.

Clear double standard.

This just makes her look even weaker and pathetic

Or adopting one when you are white.

So sad you do not "get it."

20. The photo shows Obama 'reaching across the aisle' to make friends.
Isn't that what he said he wanted to do -- get everybody to get along? An 'I wear your hat, you wear my shoes' sort of thing?

Also, how in the world can it be wrong to merely reprint a photograph that Obama himself posed for and allowed to be released?

Is he ashamed of the FACTS now?

Is he ashamed of the TRUTH?

Or is he just upset that the big boys play for keeps?

21. Farrakhan says Obama is the hope of the entire world
From the Los Angeles Times Feb 25, 2008 -- From the Associated Press

Farrakhan hails Obama in speech -- Calls Illinois senator "the hope of the entire world"

CHICAGO — In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better.

Farrakhan, 74, addressing 20,000 people at the Nation of Islam's annual "Saviours' Day" celebration ... spent most of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois Democrat.

29. Sorry for being so abrupt -
I wanted to post the short article from the LA Times because I think the R-machine is already in action to "test" which kinds of information might be useful -- creates a storm -- to use against Obama. There will not be a single aspect of Obama's life that the opposition researchers will not go through to look for even the smallest items that may be useful in attempting to smear Obama.
My post was intended as informational only -- just sharing. I am a super-supporter of the Democratic party -- another 7 years of someone like Bush and we won't have a country we will recognize, let alone worry about.
