I Don't Get The Obama Photo
What is a person of average intelligence supposed to infer from it other than he put traditional African garb over his western attire?

Take whatever stance you want as to whether the Hillary campaign did or did not disseminate it, but these threads and responses saying "what, a nice photo of him in Muslim garb? What's the problem?" are some of the most revolting insults yet to be posted here, and that's saying a lot.

What "person of average intelligence" would equate burning the flag with being a terrorist?

What "person of average intelligence" would equate Iraq War protests with disrespecting the troops?

What "person of average intelligence" sees unemployment up, wages down, watches their own financial state decline and syas "The economy is strong"?

What "person of average intelligence", when presented with the fact that we have one of the lowest life expectancies and one of the highest infant mortality rates in the industrial world still believes that we have the best healthcare in the world?

What "person of average intelligence" believes that warrantless wiretaps are fine because they "haven't done anything wrong"?

...I could go on.

52. No because everything indicates it's true and Hillary's campaign is in damage control
Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 04:15 PM by ProSense
This latest incident is different in that it comes on the heels of Hillary's campaign and her surrogates promoting Obama's ties to "former members of a radical domestic terrorist group."

Hillary Clinton woos man who nearly ruined her husband

Earlier this month, Ms Clinton's staff leaked campaign fundraising data to the website just as her rival for the nomination, Barack Obama, was to deliver a policy speech on Iraq - and a crucial 20 minutes before the official release of the information. The story on Ms Clinton's fundraising prowess dominated the news cycle.

Mark Penn is in bed with Drudge.

Obama's campaign would not connect Hillary to the latest attack story without validation.

It has happened before and Axelrod denounced the attempts to link Hillary's campaign to an attack:

The article further reported that Obama strategist David Axelrod said he did not "believe ... for a second" the allegation that Clinton's camp was behind the story.

Here's Wolfson's denying involvement and agreeing in part with Drudge:

On a conference call with reporters just now, Hillary spokesperson Howard Wolfson strongly denied any role in pushing the photo of Obama in a turban and Somali garb.

Drudge reported this morning that Clinton staffers had "circulated" the photo. He didn't say who circulated it, what level of Clinton staffer had circulated it, or to whom it had been circulated. Nonetheless, the media has been all over the story today.

Asked if the campaign had any role, Wolfson said, "No, not to my knowledge...I've never seen that picture before. I'm not aware that anyone else here has. I'm not aware that anyone here has circulated this e-mail."

Wolfson did say, however, that the campaign agreed with part of the message in the email -- that if the same photo had appeared of Hillary, it would have been a big story: "It is a common view among this campaign and our supporters that there is a difference in how the media covers our campaign and how it covers Senator Obama."

53. Operative word "circulate"
Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 04:01 PM by goodgd_yall
Circulate to whom---another Clinton staffer? Isn't that what the "circulation" claim is all about. A Clinton staffer was making a point about the perceived media bias against Clinton. The photo was to make that point. "This would be all over the front pages if it was HRC" or words to that effect accompanied the photo. Even the Drudge report makes this clear.

I would have to agree that the "playing dirty" charge is on the Obama camp side this time. Everybody just needs to own up that distortion of fact is the game of politics and Obama is as ready to use it as Clinton.

picture found on America's Most Wanted web site: scroll till you see Bin Laden at terrorist camp...

To attack HRC for this picture is a wrong......it was by drudge as I know, and we know drudge has no love for either clinton and would be easy to say it came from the clinton camp....nor do I think obama is some kind of closet Muslim or Islamic sympathizer is absurd.
