I just flipped through the channels and they are going wild. The evening network news will go nuts with it. They are trying to hurt Obama, implying that he is a Muslim. Mission accomplished, Clintons.

They just described the picture and talked about the flap about it. Not much interest so far.

And before anyone leaps....I am a white woman over 50 who just barely breaks 50,000 a year. I AM her supposed BASE.

Supposed to be her base as well, and up to last week when she drove the final nail for me with the plagiarism crap I was going to vote for her if she got the nomination, but now no way.

I live in Pennsylvania and was looking forward to maybe actually having a say in this primary (voting for Obama) but I'm really hoping at this point Obama kicks her butt next week in Texas and Ohio so even the Clintons can see the writing on the wall that IT'S OVER!

13. They don't have to run it as an "attack" ad. They just have to throw it up there
while they're talking about his lack of foreign policy experience. And LINGER on it.

And then, they'll say something about his leadership abilities in general, while LINGERING on that photo of him at the Harken Steak Fry during the singing of the anthem.

A picture is worth a thousand words, after all.

Do you actually think the Dukakis ads talking about his military experience or lack of same actually included a statement that said "Waaaah, waaaah, look at DUKAKIS sittin' in the TANK!!! Doesn't he look like an IDIOT with that HELMET on???"

Hasn't anyone paid attention to the GOP playbook since Reagan ran for office? At all? No one here remembers the "RAT" ad that resulted in the fucking MSM changing the word DEMOCRATIC to DEMOCRAT? A code word that persists to this very day?

32. I didn't say that, or even infer that, at all. I said nothing about Clinton. Not one sentence.
I find it amusing how someone can make a valid point about what the GOP might do, and there's always someone who has to pull the argument beyond any assertions that were made, and then ASCRIBE that view.

It isn't a well constructed argument on your part.

30. The fact that it's all over the news right now pretty much makes it unusable in the general.
That's why this is a good thing. The whole Muslim card will play itself out and then won't be as effective when the general roles around. Hillary is making Obama a stronger candidate.

26. I agree, all Obama has to do is remind the American people that
this is the politics of personal destruction that we're all sick & tired of. Status Quo. Politics As Usual.

Remind them that this is what we are trying to transcend which is why he is the one best suited to lead us to be much bigger than this kind of politics.

14. If Clinton campaign had anything to do with this
it looks like it has backfired badly. This is a blatant personal attack. What if Obama were a muslim, is this what this country has sunk too? To redicule someone based on their personal religious beliefs?

It is a TERROR TACTIC, people. Those using it, are by definition terrorists, to instill fear. But oh so subtle. Its the 911 BE AFRAID tactic. It has backfired. How can anyone claim this is fair campaign practices? Those responsible should own up to it and soon, it will get worse.

17. Maybe you should have stayed on a channel instead of flipping. At least CNN is savaging
Clinton over the photo. Cafferty is voicing concerns, along with viewers, over her mental state. All are covering the Novak and Alter columns which are calling for Hillary to drop out. There has been more than one mention of Hillary's desperation and confusing tactics. Its not good for Hillary.

Senator Obama went to Kenya as a diplomatic envoy. He donned the garb as a US Senator. Clinton tried to use the picture to fearmonger. Shame on them.. the only mission accomplished is sealing Hillary's fate.

You guys have really become a bunch of unhinged, screaming banchees. I get so sick of these "The Sky is Falling" threads. Obama can handle this. I know a lot of you are hoping this will take him down, but it won't.

Just as Michelle's "proud" moment didn't have any impact, or the overblown "snub", or the alleged gay affair with the psycho dude. But keep 'em coming, it only seems to be helping Obama.

Put it out there now along with all the other photos of our leaders visiting Muslim countries and dressing in the attire of that culture. Using that picture as some sort of proof of anything then Laura Bush is a Muslim, Hillary Clinton is a Muslim and so is George Bush.

This will be so old news by November it won't matter anymore.

People who are that stupid probably can't find their way our of their houses much les to a polling place.
