It will only play to fearful people who want to keep the world divided. That's not what Obama's campaign is about, and why we're gonna win!

20. Because the media
puts it out there. For many people this is a sizable chunk about what they know about Obama included with his "Muslim" heritage. it is intentional, repeated and in a vacuum where too many voters live. Even with immense campaigning it does not get erased, will always nag, and only spreads if you try to rub the stain out by explanation and defense.

Now Bush's drug and alcohol use which were only the tip of the iceberg have no photos, no general release and the spin was instantly applied that he was a convert and this was all in the dim past. He got POSITIVE marks for stuff that fried his brain and showed his consistent bad character. In this case the negative spin got the exclusive front position and the photo seals the crap solidly in the TV numbed brains of the innocent. The MSM does not need to work overtime burying any information or spinning. All they have to do now is show the photo- constantly- and raise the question. This becomes in effect "Dukakis riding in the tank" imagery for the GOP campaign.

To counter this a much more powerful photo op should be overlaid in the people's memory. A legitimate and truthful one such as Obama honoring the 4000 war dead in some fashion since patriotic crook McCain who intends to lay tens of thousands more in the grave for personal and corporate profit wants to make this central to his campaign. Something real and true and thus more powerfully symbolic.

When the spin comes that this is a cynically planned photo op, as vily hypocritical as such comments would be, simply keep defending with the reality of the war dead that the bastards have hidden behind baseball steroids and Paris Hilton.

11. Looks like Drudge is trying to split the party further by perpetuating the hate between the 2 camps.
It's seems to be working out wonderfully well too.

8. But will people vote for a Dem who gives info to right-wing sites about other Dems?
After all, it is the Clinton campaign's involvement in this matter that has this site in an uproar.

I do agree, however, that the picture itself is a non-issue.

17. It's Drudge's word right now. But, until the Clinton campaign denies it...
...that's all we have to go on, unfortunately.

I would take their word over Drudge's any day. But, when they're side-stepping the issue all together, what am I to believe?

After all, Hillary does seem to have a something of a working relationship with Drudge.

23. The purpose is simple
It is to cause a disruption or distraction, thus leading to fear and worry and a depressed attitude. Such as what we have had here today.

Cheer up and be excited, the Republicans are in very deep trouble.
