A staunch Republican business associate of mine thinks Obama

will hammer McCain in the fall.

Just a bit of meaningless anecdotal man on the street buzz for all you Obama supporters.

Not that he's the best prognosticator. A month and a half ago he was equally convinced that Hillary would be the next President.

Interesting how six weeks is a lifetime in politics.

This is someone, btw, who would never vote for Obama, has voted Republican his entire life, and sees no chance whatsoever that McCain will win.

1. I've had similar encounters

with republicans. By no means do they like the man, but they seem less opposed to him than to Hillary. My boss said that if Obama is the nominee he simply would not vote, but if Hillary was our candidate he would make it a point to vote for McCain. Before anyone attacks me, let me say that even if every repuke felt like this guy, I still believe strongly that a dem will win in November no matter who our nominee is.
