Prediction: Timmy Russert et al will be extra tough on Obama tomorrow night
now that it's all over, of course, so that they can have cover their ass video down the road to try to refute the accusations of MSNBC/NBC being systemically biased against Clinton in the primary race.

1. Yeah....capitalism may carry the day. But I still think it's likely that they'll be biased (eom)

3. I agree... but for a different reason....
The MSM likes to get good ratings.

As long as this thing is a race, they'll continue to get viewers/readers.

Tuesday night, they will try to rehabilitate Clinton's campaign.... so they can drag this out longer and keep the ratings bonanza going longer.

I expect Russert to serve up questions that allow Hillary to get her canned one-liners in.

BUT! If Obama handles it well... then the race really *IS* over.

9. It's already over
and I think it'll be more CYA than working to prolong the race. They are the only network to have to issue multiple apologies for biased reporting and suspend a reporter in the process. The coverage of this race will be studied for years.

cover you" - win win for both parties. One got a leg up on the competition - and - wait, both did. No loss that Faux got shafted, mind you,(I celebrated at the time) but truth and democracy got left behind in this negotiation.
Remains to be seen where this bed fellowship is headed.

4. If MTP
yesterday was any indication he will be calling Hillary out on her attacks because other than Nader that was the highlight of their show.

6. He can do that behind her back but not to her face
Both Tiny Timmy and Brian "Dittohead" Williams are in *awe* of Her Majesty and won't be able to bring themselves to go after her hard, especially not with a bunch of people watching (both in the audience and on TV).

8. They'll start getting tougher on Obama
because they believe that their job is almost finished and they're close to securing their choice for the Democratic nominee. It would be too obvious to wait until the GE, they have to ease into their new mode of operation.

16. Actually, Chris Matthews
has slightly changed his tune already. It's laughable that after all these long months of promoting Obama, he's decided that the time is ripe to vet him now.

Hillary would be a disaster for us in November... so wrecking her campaign is a service to our party and country.

So hopefully they'll be safe from Timmeh's "gotcha" questions.
