Easy To Read Breakdown Comparing Senate Records Of Obama & Hillary
I posted this over the weekend (in the articles section) so a lot of you may not have seen it. And I think it's something *everyone* should see.

Here is where I first read about this:

http://www.theyoungturks.com/story/2008/2/22/20842/6292

"...This is a very good analysis of the real Senate record of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. This was done by a blogger on Daily Kos called Grassroots Mom and she went to the Library of Congress website to thoroughly analyze the actions of both candidates in the US Senate.

I mentioned this on the show and it's one of those things that are better read than talked about. So, check it out here and see for yourself who is more talk and who is more action between the two."

And here is the direct link:

2. Very. Although I should point out that the title of the Daily Kos piece is very misleading...
so if anyone opens the link and decides they agree or disagree with the analysis based on the title alone, they better keep reading.

3. expect this to be ignored
After all, it's much more fun to hurl schoolyard taunts back and forth. :eyes:

Seriously, this an excellent resource with source links included for folks who want to dig deeper themselves.

6. I'd like to think fellow DUers would be above that
Ignoring facts because they might contradict existing beliefs should be something only done by conservatives.

9. I would LOVE to be proven wrong
Unfortunately, it's the silly season here at DU. Folks seem to be drawn to controversy here like moths to the flame. If there isn't anything to sling mud or feces at, they slink off to do the dirty deed elsewhere.

I'm encouraged by the number of Recs this is getting - that will be the only thing that keeps the topic alive long enough for more people to see it.

7. wicked smart
the man is just wicked smart.
if it wasn't silly season we would all be enjoying the fruits of one of BO's many accomplishments- the publication of the entire defense department budget on the internets. just think about that one, folks. the republicans probably had no idea what that meant.

8. I just spent a good hour reviewing the bills sponsored by each candidate
ANYONE THAT QUESTIONS HILLARY ON HER HER COMMITMENT TO HEALTH CARE FOR ALL, MUST SEE HOW MANY BILLS SHE HAS GOTTEN INTRODUCED ON THE SUBJECT AND HOW MANY PEOPLE SHE IS TRYING TO HELP.

It would be even better if you all look at Senator Obama's loyalities are...ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!!!

Here's the link for Hillary's Records:

13. Great analysis!
That is a pretty bad headline though. I wish there were a more simple and concise breakdown of both of their records in the Senate.

18. Translation: I didn't read the analysis and am making an assumption that it's wrong
and by "wrong" I mean may reflect poorly on the candidate I prefer.

16. Turks didn't do the analysis, so that point is irrelevant and secondly
you provide no evidence for your claim. Also, this is just a poor argument that don't even address the breakdown itself.

Try Again.
