3. Beckel was the main advisor for Mondale's campaign: he came up with the phrase "Where's the beef"

Hannity was trying to draw attention to Obama's religion and tried to imply Obama was a racist He also tried to imply that Michelle was Obama because of her thesis papers. Beckel called him out on it.

He said that the Republicans bringing race into the general election race against Obama would backfire. He told Hannity that the Republicans built their base among racist whites in the South. Hannity of course had a problem with that.
