Why has Team Hillary stopped talking about Texas?
Has she given up there? Isn't this one of the "make it or break it" states that she has to win huge in?

7. Yes, they can count but Texas doesn't count (anymore)
Polls now have Obama beating her. Plus he has been outperforming polls regularly thanks to his solid ground organization.

Texas is starting to not only look like a win, but possibly a big win. (they do everything big in Texas)

They keep sending Bill down here, but even that it tapering off.

They sent Bill to East Texas, but Obama sent Samuel L. Jackson -- way cooler.

Samuel L. could kick Bill's but any day.

18. Well, as I've been saying since Super Tuesday ... Obama will win Texas.
And it won't be close. Two weeks ago, even strident Obama supporters were saying I was hopelessly optimistic, but I believe the proof is rolling in. When the pollsters are finding that Obama is winning handily those who have already voted - traditionally the most conservative of Democrats, traditionally the older Democrats - both demos Clinton has counted among her voters, you know it's over in Texas.

I said for two weeks Obama would win Texas by 5-15 points. For the past week, I've been predicting the Obama win would be 8-18 points.

He won't break 59%. She won't fall below 41%. Right now, I'd eyeball it at 57% to 42%.

I could be wrong. We'll find out in 8 days.

31. It will be an Obama win by no less than 54% to 46%, and the delegate spread larger than that.
She's putting all her eggs in Ohio's basket now. I imagine her internals show it's even or close to even in Ohio, which is why we are seeing the all-out negative attacks at Obama from Camp Clinton.

27. Didn't you see the interview she gave to a Texas TV station? They're not concerned about
states that don't figure into the electoral map (or something), i.e., red states.

IOW: Texas Doesnt Count

But MI and FL DO count. She also said today that she never meant what she said about MI and FL, and if she did say it, somebody evidently misunderstood what she said, because that's not what she meant.

Texas clearly doesn't count. Besides, now that Hillary has figured out the way Texas counts delegates, the state is CLEARLY disenfranchising her voters.

32. They are flooding North Texas with pitstops this week/weekend
You know, the part of Texas they didn't think mattered cuz all she needed was South Texas for a TX win..oops, wait, the majority of TX DELEGATES are in ***North Texas***. Too little, too late, HRC.

Six DFW area pitstops for BC in one day (tomorrow) and then HRC rides into town (again) on Saturday.
Sen. Obama: 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fort Worth Convention Center (which will no doubt be one of those pesky big rallys that HRC is so tired of)

Former President Bill Clinton is planning several events in North Texas Tuesday, urging voters to cast their ballots early.

41. Texas: "Win or Lose State" or "Win and Lose State"?

Texas: "Win or Lose State" or "Win and Lose State"?

by: Karl-Thomas Musselman
Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 03:04 PM CST

Not that this comes as a shock or a surprise, but Texas is on the verge of not mattering in the presidential primary March 4th... at least according to Bill Clinton in his interview with ABC News.

"If you vote early or you vote on March the 4th in the popular election, 65 percent of the delegates will be selected to the national convention. But 35 percent of the delegates for the national convention will be selected Tuesday night, March 4, at 8000 Percent Convention all across this state," Clinton told the crowd in Killeen this morning.

"The doors open at 7 and they close at 7:15. It would be tragic if Hillary were to win this election in the daytime and somebody were to come in at night and take it away."

Yes, believe it or not, Texas could simultaneously matter... and not matter. Aren't we special!

Of course, the Clintons are well on the way to not mattering in the Texas caucuses if Bill Clinton keeps informing people that "the door open at 7:00 and close at 7:15". This is mainly because the doors actually open at 7:15 and have no specific set time to close.
