So the American Flag Pin was made in Communist China
With all these noise coming from the Republicans, heres the question

I would like to see the Media asked the Republican Nominee.

Why is the American Flag pin made in China. (The one all Senators and Congress
men and Women wears)

Are the Republicans being Patriotic in wearing a Pin that was

made in China?

How many Senators and Representatives are aware of this stupidity?

This is significant to the American people, why can't the media address this issue?

1. As are the majority of American flags you buy at the store.
China owns this country.

2. Obama should have put his pride behind him and sported a lapel pin just to
humor many of the folks he is trying to reach out to.

His failing to do so has set him up to be attacked on this Somali garb thing.

6. Nope. Phony displays of GOP-defined "patriotism" are not part of Obama's brand.

16. Respect? Tell me, who is showing respect for America?
The guy who buys a $3.00 Made-in-China pin, and then presides over a flawed war in which our troops did not get the body armor they needed, and doesn't fund the veterans' benefits that these troops need when they come home, and undermines our Constitution with warrantless wiretaps?

That is a debate Barack Obama is very, very happy to have. And that is a debate that the Republicans will be suckered into if they try to mention flag pins. It'll only make them look petty and phony.

5. It is sort of important
I mean, we are Americans and we should buy American made products whenever possible. Otherwise, how can we keep the economy strong for working class Americans? What? The extremely wealthy don't give a rats ass about us on the lower end of the spectrum? Oh, well never mind then.

11. Don't you think this is
something the American people need to know about, that their favorite Rep is dressed in
Chinese clothing, (not that I have anything against the Chinese) I'm just looking at
the hypocrisy of the Republicans and I presume some DLC Democrats.

Whats your opinion?

23. I happen to agree with you
But in reality, it is truly hard to find any clothing made in the USA, except some work boots. And I think that people no longer care, sad though it may be.

10. It's Hard To Find Made In America
Besides wearing a pin does not make you patriotic. It's like magnetic patriotism on your car doesn't make you a supporter of troops. It's actions and feelings, not things that should identify a person as patriotic. I have to say I learned something over all of this patriotic nonsense. I never put my hand over my heart while singing the national anthem.

13. Then explain this to me
why are Republicans and DLC pushing this issue on patriotism then, knowing fully
they are not patriotic themselves.

I still would like to see the MSM addressing this issue.

19. It's Only My Opinion
For years the republicans have questioned the patriotism of anyone disagreeing with them. It hasn't been a Bush and Cheney thing. I think they have always suggested not agreeing with them is un American and unpatriotic. The MSM kowtows to the republicans. It's nonsense to think wearing a flag pin determines patriotism. It's still divide and conquer.

15. Point of info: It's Socialist China
Of course, the name of the party is still "Communist Party," but the government describes their system as "socialist market" economy.

The China bashing here often distresses me, because, having worked in China, I have some appreciation for what they are trying to do, and how much better they have achieved their goals than the former Soviet Union/Russia, which bought into the shock doctrine.

24. the entire flag pen thing has become a trap for pols.
Why not just wear a flag t-short, or a flag-cape? A trinket is being used almost as a thought-police type item.
