RW radio host responds to McCain:"I’ve had it with McCain. I’m going to throw my support to Hillary"

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/02/mccain_apologizes_for_radio_ho.html

<snip>

This is from a the Cincinnati Enquirer:

Cunningham said later that he stood by his comments at the rally. He told his listeners: ‘”I’ve had it with McCain. I’m going to throw my support to Hillary Rodham Clinton.”

Cunningham, a conservative Republican who also hosts a Sunday night syndicated radio show, said he was asked Monday “by a McCain operative” to introduce the Republican front-runner at Memorial Hall.

He spoke to the crowd and left, without meeting or speaking to the candidate, because he had to do his WLW-AM talk show at 12:30 p.m.

:crazy:

10. Oh I doubt it too. Republicans HATE HILLARY but I remember all the posts about
how people were pointing @ Rush and Coulter and all the other rethugs who were endorsing Hillary. They were using it to show that she was I don't know, a Republican...or that Republicans liked her so she sucked. But now that it appears that tons Republicans are supporting Obama it is o.k.

I don't know. I'm so confused.

This place is too fucking nuts for me. Double-standers abound.

6. The McCain coverage actually makes Popeye look really good.
Turn on HEADLINE NEWS--the coverage makes McCain look decisive and gentlemanly, with his forceful "repudiating" and his insistence that the campaign will maintain a "respectful tone."

Bad situation for Johnny-Boy at the outset, flipped into a PLUS. The only one looking like a jerk is that Cunningham guy.

12. It doesn't matter what he is. What matters is how the event is portrayed.
Perception is reality.

13. AND, give Popeye not just local, but NATIONAL coverage in heavy rotation
showing him being a gracious, reasonable, gentlemanly, calm and avuncular individual. It's not just a snow job, it's a "perception" job. An image makeover, right before your very eyes, as the primaries wind down. A "set up" to give those who are starting to pay attention a nice little "preconceived notion" upon which to build their impressions.
