Whence cometh the "Angry Black Man"?
This thing today with lowlife small town radio talk show asshole Bill Cunningham (using Obama's middle name in the most derogatory way possible) underscored a notion that has been out there for a while .... that the right wing is going to play on people's fears and bigotry - as they ***always*** do - during the campaign.

This is about neither Clinton nor Obama. The fact is, since neither is an older white guy, both are open for such attacks.

With Clinton it would be fear of emasculation or mistrust in any woman's ability to 'be tough'.

With Obama it may be a bit more difficult for them. But what they want is not tying him to terrorism by the implication of his middle name although that's just ducky with them). Instead, they want an indignant, angry black man. And the attacks we'll see, for at least a while, will go toward simply trying to piss him off.

The Shriek Monkeys are gathered in the trees and the chorus has started.

1. That's the whole plan.
She's been baiting Obama into going negative and committing a gaffe.

I don't think he's falling for it.

4. The more they use it the less it matters, everyone has said it. From Jon Stewart to Limpballs
It just makes that asshole look like an asshole

The battle between McCain and Obama will be for "the middle". I don't think you can win the middle with racist or religious slurs.

We are all becoming desensitized to his middle name. I expect this trend to continue

11. You're missing the point
It isn't about his middle name ....... its about goading him to get one picture of him being angry ..... no matter how righteous. The middle name thing is but one tactic.

7. What's that drop Stephanie Miller always plays....
from the Family Guy: "Look Lois, the two symbols of the Republican Party: an elephant, and a fat white guy who is threatened by change."

If a draft dodging drunk and his pals were able to paint a purple heart, war veteran as a wimp, I have no doubt they'll come hard at Hillary and Obama. The only comfort is that this Primary season has been so brutal for our Democratic front-runners, that whomever it is will be ready.

10. The right wing IS about fear, it's their number one subject, it's
their reason for being, strong military, nuclear weapons, spy on the people, all done with small government, borrowing large amounts of money to be paid back by our grandchildren.
