While you debate who won, who lost, and who is bff with the media elite
you miss how the media is torpedoing both campaigns by reducing democratic discourse to petty nonsense about SNL, the Nation of Islam, and other bs. Carry on, just carry on. continue to sling that poo in your cyber cage. :)

1. Hillary brought up SNL all by herself.

2. The media didn't bring up SNL. That petty nonsense was started by someone else.

4. I'm not defending her. I just could only think of that to add balance to the OP.

5. I don't think an anti-Semitic organization can be characterized as petty nonsense.
If people had only heard part of the story, it would be a valid concern.

6. YOu don't think bringing in a lie to a debate because it makes for good theater
isn't nonsense. I'm sorry that you consider this relevant. It's a shame.

11. I think it's relevant if people heard that Obama was being endorsed by
a bigot, and that's all they knew. I think it was fair to Obama to let him address this. It HAS gotten press.

15. You know, you busted me - I SO do not care about policies! It's either/or,
after all. I can care about policies OR care about Obama getting a chance to clear up any misunderstandings that may be circulating. If I was a Hillary supporter, I'd feel the same way - she should get a chance to set the record straight. I'm not sure where you're coming from or why you're jumping on my ass for stating my opinion, but you're really being an asshole.

7. I thought that Obama's smartest move was interrupting the Farrakhan question.
Why the hell would they even attempt to repeat that vile shit on TV? Disgusting.

9. On the contrary this debate showed volumes more substance than the pukes.
who, btw, aren't even having debates. They cover many important topics to the average American and proved they are each well versed in today's issues.

10. I suppose that is part of the point. The republicans can't reach the level of debate that
our candidates are capable of. They don't have the knowledge or mental dexterity for it. The media don't want that big secret getting out beyond those that pay closest attention. That's why the dumb questions and videos over petty one liners on the campaign trail.

12. I thought they did a nice job of tearing it back to ISSUES
and telling Russert to GFH.

14. It's been a constant struggle for all of our candidates, even from the beginning.
Biden and Kucinich were the best at chastising them for cheapening the debate.
