TIME's Joe Klein: "We're nearing the end of this incredible race."
"He won. He not only won by not losing, but he also won on points--and on demeanor, and on quickness, if not quite substance (although this was a fairly substantive debate on both sides)."

An excerpt:

"--On Clinton's Iraq vote: 'You voted for driving the bus into the ditch.' Great moment for Obama.

--On Clinton's 'celestial choir' sarcasm: Great, gracious response by Obama. 'I thought she showed some good humor there. She gets points for delivery.'

--On Pakistan: Bad for Clinton, who repeated the canard that Obama wanted to 'bomb' Pakistan. Excellent for Obama, who said he wanted to go after Al Qaeda operatives there if we had actionable
intelligence and Pakistan was refusing to act. (Which we did a few weeks ago, in the CIA strike against al-Libi.)

Again, Obama just seemed in command throughout, never threatened, never flustered. Clinton didn't seem flustered either, but she didn't seem as big as Obama. We're nearing the end of this incredible race."

5. Yeah -
Kennedy should have made him practice that. I'm sure he'll hear about it and we'll never hear it pronounced that way again. :)

14. I keep telling people he is our George Bush
I'm sorry that if he gets the nod I really can't spend much time hoping he wins. Yes, I know all the arguments about the worst dem is better than the best rethug, but damn if I don't think Obama will put our party into a ditch as bad a Bush has put the rethugs into one. Incompetence, hypocrisy, rethug talking points, sorry to say, ignorant supporters that wouldn't be swayed from him if he stood on stage and killed a baby.... it's all to reminiscent of the Bushies to me. 15 fucking months without an oversight meeting on Afghanistan? Why the fuck is he the chair if he can't hold a meeting? Ugh.

3. Even before his remark about Hillary showing good humor,
when they were coming back from the clip showing her saying the celestial choir thing, he said "sounds good to me" - or something like that. I LOVED it!

7. LOL -- well tell us what newsmax thinks too
Does it ever occur to BO supporters that you are consistently quoting complete assholes in support of your candidate? Honestly, that really should give you a clue at some point.

11. A lot of the worst Iraq War boosters think they can rehabilitate themselves by going with Obama
Andrew Sullivan and Joke Line are two if the worst offenders.

15. I understand that, but why are BO supporters touting the praise....
of complete assholes? That's the question. And seriously, I have never seen so many newsmax links, ever, in my life, on a dem site. In fact until Obama supporters I don't think I have ever seen a newsmax link posted in support of a dem. Sorry, but that is fucked.

20. Some (not all, mind you) Obama supporters are not long-term Dems and don't seem to know the players
When Sullivan became an Obama flak a lot of supporters spamming Andrew Sullivan shit here honestly didn't know who he is... to them, he was just that nice man that posts eloquent praise of Obama every day.

I remember people expressing surprise and incredulity that Sullivan was a rabid pro-Iraq War flak and professional Democrat hater.

(The weirdest ones are the folks who think The Washington Times is a legitimate newspaper.)

22. Yes, I am aware that most of them are very uninformed
Did you see the post today from the Mom who said her 18 yr old daughter said she was voting for Obama, and when she asked her daughter why she had decided on him her daughter said, "because he's cool." Couldn't name one policy position of his.

Another poster bragged about how her daughter and all her friends were voting for Obama, but didn't know if he was a rethug or a democrat. God help us.

12. Joe Klein? Someone posted a Bill Kristol article in an anti-Obama post today...
...but Joe friggin' Klein is suddenly the Devil?

If it was Charles Krauthammer, I'd agree with you--but Klein isn't really Newsmax material.

21. I am so sorry for you. It must be hard to be so alone and so deluded!
Do you have anyone you can talk to? Are we your only friends? If so, some of us will pretend that Hillary is still a contender to make you feel better.

However, if you have friends you can talk to, then get real! Hillary is going to be Junior Senator from New York for a while longer. I hope that's okay with you!

Do a search on the term Joke Line Time magazine, and you'll find out how he earned his richly deserved nick name.

They deserve each other. I truly don't respect Joe Klein.

Unfortunately, in the past week, Hillary has proven to be capable of the same slimy attacks!

I like Barack's attempt to remain above the fray!

When all the complete aholes we have known as establishment aholes for years support your guy, that might be the first clue that he's not actually "transformational."

24. I know it's the National Review but...
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MTM3MGI5NGQxMjg2NDUxNzY1MmJiMDZhZTZkY2E2NWE=

Have you ever seen a candidate extract himself from such a maddeningly stupid argument so adroitly? He read viewers' minds — we were all thinking, "What's the difference between 'denounce' and 'reject?'" — and made Hillary look silly for trying to create a distinction. It's this seemingly effortless ability to rise above the tedious semantics of American politics that makes Obama so difficult to attack. Even if you play better than him, he's better at mocking the game. McCain's got his work cut out for him.
