Did I miss something? At CNN's Political Market, Richardson's VP share price jumped from 10% to 18% on Tuesday, after being flat for the previous week. link

2. Hi, JustinL. dkf is right -- there are reports that Gov. Richardson may

endorse "within days."

One by one, a lot of heavy-hitting influential Democrats are endorsing Sen. Obama. Richardson has Cabinet experience under Sen. Clinton's husband but the tide may be turning toward Obama.

Good catch on the Richardson veep market share.

3. It seems to me that Richardson is enjoying playing the reluctant bride
Some of his comments lately make me think that he's not going to do a damn thing until he sees the writing on the wall--or maybe not at all.

He feels loyalty to Bill and Hillary Clinton but he personally likes Barack Obama who he clowned around with during the debates (What were they doing, making fun of John Edward's hair?). Richardson may be holding out for someone to offer him the number 2 slot or, as a negotiator of some distinction, may be preparing to join the group of high level unaffiliated Democrats including Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid who may be needed to press the eventual loser to step back off the ledge and give the party a chance to mount an effective campaign.

Of course, who knows. He does seem to be having fun, inviting Bill Clinton to watch the Super Bowl with him but witholding his endorsement, taking calls from Barack Obama (who calls him personally and directly saying things like "We can make history, Bill"). Like Edwards, who's in the same position, this also may be the best way to stay in the game--once he's made his choice--the press goes away and he becomes just another surrogate.

By the way, I have to love Richardson's new look. He should have worn the beard when he was campaigning.

4. Hey there. Good morning.
Your take is convincing -- especially the part about the Time-to-drop-out SWAT team of esteemed Dem elders. "Turn in your parachute to us, and out ya go!"

Agree also that Gov. R is having fun and likely is enjoying himself immensely. As well he should.

5. There's now a story that a senior Clinton official pissed Richardson off
Supposedly it was Madeline Albright. If it's true it may also help explain why he hasn't done what everyone expected him to do and endorse Clinton.
