John Nichols: Dodd to Clinton: Hint. Hint. Hint!
from The Nation:

DODD TO CLINTON: HINT. HINT. HINT!...Everybody's been waiting for John Edwards to make a pick in the race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Edwards is still playing Hamlet.

But he's not the only former candidate.

And another of the half dozen also-rans made his move Tuesday.

No, Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd's endorsement of Obama was not the big political deal that an Edwards announcement would have been.

But it still mattered, not so much because of what Dodd said about Obama but because of what Dodd said toHillary Clinton.

"This is a moment of unity in our country, a time when we need to come together as the Democratic Party and get behind a candidacy that expresses the hopes, aspirations and ambitions of million and millions of Americans," said Dodd.

Hint.

"I want to offer a cautionary note to the campaigns and the people around them: Be careful this week, we have good people running, we have remarkable people running in these two candidates, and I know the temptation of campaigns, beyond the ability of the candidates themselves to control it, can get out of control. We have witnessed a little bit of that here, and I'm worried about it," Dodd said. "We're on the brink of a great victory , and I don't want to see us lose that opportunity because of mistakes made or divisiveness," added Dodd. ......(more)

1. I mean when you're comparing our likely nominee to Chimpy thats not exactly a good thing
I've looked at a few recent national polls and McCain is beating Obama by 2-4 points. Not alot but I'm abit nervous that this is hurting him. The "shame on you" tirade and ridiculing certainly doesn't help him IMO.

2. So, allowing folks in upcoming states to register their choice in this close election is divisive?
What a crock. It's more like, get out of the way and let Obama assume the nomination, even though he can't gain the necessary number of delegates to nominate through votes alone.
