Dean Thinks Obama Will Win
On CNN yesterday Dean said that he thought that Democrats would make a choice "in the next few weeks" and avoid a brokered convention. But the only choice that could be made in the "next few weeks" would be for Clinton to bow out. Even in the very unlikely event that he lost Texas, Ohio, Pennyslvania, Vermont and Rhode Island - Obama wouldn't be out, it might (if Hillary won big) be a tie but that wouldn't mean Democrats had made a choice.

Just sayin...

1. yep. and one thing's certain
No way is Clinton going to do anything but lose big in my little state. Vermonters are palpably angry about Clinton's vote for the IWR- still. And I think the signs point toward his having a 10 pt victory in TX and eking out a win OH. Dean has clearly telegraphed that he thinks it's over and that the nominee is Obama.

5. I think Hillary agrees with you
At one point in the debate last night she listed the states having primaries next week but mentioned only Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island. That jumped out at me. Vermont must be out of the campaign's calculations and she has forgotten about it.

2. I think we know how 1 Vermonter is voting next week
In 2004, the Clintons were working behind the scenes to undermine Dean, and Obama was one of the original "Dean Dozen" when he was running for Senate. Dean can't publicly support anyone right now because he is DNC Chair, but assuming he still votes in Vermont, I'd be shocked if he weren't planning to vote for Obama next week.

4. Obama is Dean on steroids.
Same small donor, 50 state strategy. More polished.

7. Agreed
Dean pioneered the 50 State, Small Donor Philosophy and Obama perfected it.

3. Good. Time for him to twist some arms.
We've been in this miserable pissing contest for weeks longer than we should have, and it's time we focus on destroying McCain.

It's time for him to sit her down in a back room, tell her there's no way she can win, and she needs to bow out. Now.
