Dear Senators Clinton and Obama...
Respectfully, PLEASE stop the bickering over your respective (much less than perfect) Health Insurance Plans. If EITHER of you want to convince me that UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE is your Super Main Priority, you NEED to stop pandering to the insurance companies and support John Conyers plan, HR676.

Please stop trying to convince me that something that benefits insurance companies also benefits me.
Please stop trying to convince me that either one of you can force the insurance companies to care.

As long as the insurance companies are involved in my "health care" I will NEVER win.

You want to be the one that stands up for me? Prove it. HR676.

1. The House and Senate will write any Healthcare reform bill, anyway.

We need more Progressives to send a good bill to a willing Democratic Pres.

Youre correct.
Which is why we need the nominee to embrace this bill and get the people behind it.

2. I share this desire too- even if it would never happen, I'd prefer to
aim for what we NEED- rather than what might be 'do-able'.

:hi:

peace~

3. Clinton compares her plan to FDR's social security and LBJ's medicare
This happened at yesterday's debate. Those two plans create an additional tax that involves everyone in the country. Seems like an apples and oranges comparison to me. Any thoughts?

7. Its totally apples and oranges.
SS and Medicare are like HR676. Forcing me to buy a plan via some health insurance company isnt even in the same universe. I would be glad to pay a SS or Medicare type tax if it meant everyone in this county got health care. I am NOT however glad to be forced or invited to line the pockets of For-Profit insurance companies whos main concern is their bottom line.
